I have seen this before, but when I tried to access it to send to a friend (who runs our church Sunday school), the website that actually had a picture of how the quilt is made wouldn't come up. If you have directions or a picture or both, please respond! I told her about it, and she's practically frothing at the mouth! Thanks!
You are in luck! I just learned how to make one of these in my methods class. I hope this description makes sense. We were told to use black electrical tape, but I'm sure duct tape works just the same. Here it goes: Lay out all of the ziploc bags to make the size of quilt you would like. I would recommend using the large bags. For a class, maybe you would make it 6x8, depending on the class size. Once you have them laid out to make the size you want, duct tape them together along the sides and the top. This will be the front of the quilt. It looks like a large grid. On the back make sure you leave the bags open so that you can slide pictures into the bag and zip them shut. Does this make sense? You do not tape the bags shut. Leave them open. So, from the front you just see the tape and the bags act as windows so that you can see the art. You slide the art in from the back. I really hope this makes some sense. Please ask questions or PM me if this does not! I don't have a picture but I can try to clarify any confusing parts.
http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3711&highlight=quilt I don't know how to find the old thread on the site... but click on the link above and it will take you to an old, old, old thread I started. And there is a link in that to a picture of a quilt. Sorry, the link will discuss some questions and instructions... but the picture isn't there any more. Try this link and scroll alllllll the way down to the bottom. It's the only picture I could find when I googled ziploc baggie quilt... http://teachers.net/gazette/MAY03/classroomphotos.html
