Anyone got the directions on how to make this? I read it on an archive, but can't access the board with the directions. Seems like a neat idea.

That's pretty groovy! I might try this with some of our art/math projects. Thanks!

it is a very tedious task to complete. I also don't know if I can give clear directions, but I will try...

    You need...
    gallon size ziploc bags
    duct tape

    1. lay out your first row and place ductape over the top edge of the ziploc bag. fold over the duct tape, but make sure that you don't cover the zipper itself.
    2. place the same length of ductape on the bottom leaving half of the duct tape uncovered.
    3. next you will need to place the next row of ziploc bags under the duct tape that you used in step number 2.
    4. continue with this step until you have completed your rows.
    5. make your columns by taking the duct tape and basically taping the bags that are side by side together(all the way down.
    6. turn your bag over and you will need to tear the duct tape in half and placing alongside the sticky part left uncovered.
    7. make your edgest with the duct tape.

we had to figure this out on our own in my education program so I really just winged it...but we had to do it. i hope this helps! it would be a good idea to have someone help with this project.

I have never seen a ziploc bag quilt. What do you use yours for? Displaying student work?

Does anyone have a picture of this quilt. It sounds like such a great idea! I would love to make one and hang it in the hall. I am a complete visual learner, I would do much better at making one if I had a picture, lol :)

There are pictures in the link up above. Just read the responses to the post. They are really neat! I bought my baggies tonight, guess what I'll be doing? And then Thursday I go to the laminator, so next weekend I'll be trimming. And I plan to make the whiteboards, so I guess the following weekend I'll be waxing and sanding whiteboards! Woo hoo for fabulous pre-school start teacher weekends! My husband just loves how much fun I am these days... :)

I bought gallon baggies and hot pink duct tape tonight :)

I almost bought the two gallon bags, but my husband thought there would be too much extra space on them. I will try to take pics as I make it so there is a reference for the steps.

Thanks for the pic, I also could not get the link above to work for the other picture.
