Amazon has them for about $30. They are supposed to be about $8. I see a frantic trip out at 5AM the day after Thanksgiving in my future. :-(

Oh. Quite the mark-up. I hate when that happens...resellers buy up all the inventory and then charge three times as much. It happens with concert and game tickets as well. :(

Well, good luck! I've never heard of these things...

I just looked on eBay and there are lots there...seems like you can can get them for twenty dollars or so, if that's something you're willing to spend.

This sounds like a repeat of the Furby fiasco, remember that? I paid $75 for one back in 1999...

Step away from the Zhu Zhu pet. Do not buy into the frenzy.

Me either but reminds me of cabbage patch dolls in the 80s. I got a fake cabbage patch with a snail nose.

Cabbage patch dolls were big my first Christmas. My uncle/godfather really wanted to get me one, so my mom and grandma looked everywhere for him. My mom worked at Target, so she was finally able to get one.

"Noel" was really the only doll I played with when I was little, so I was very confused when I was going through boxes before I moved out and found a birth certificate for "Oliver Michael." My mom had to explain that "he" was the only doll left. Mom and Grandma had checked to make sure there were no "structural differences";) and then passed the boy doll off as a girl one. I thought she just had short, curly hair and wore pants...

Every few years there is a toy that flies off the shelves. I remember the Cabbage Patch frenzy. And Furbees, and Tickle Me Elmo. Now Zhu Zhu Pets. I have my whole family on the lookout for one. I am so cheap I will try to get one for $8.

I like going out on Black Friday but I dread it when it may get ugly. Why are people so crazy?

There was an article in our paper today about how the hot toys for this year will be harder to find because retailers were so worried about overstocking that they didn't order as much as they should have. The Zhu Zhu pets and two other items were mentioned.

I KNEW this would happen! I began purchasing the ZHUZHU pet stuff a couple of months ago...at WAL MART. The hamsters are $8.00 each. I got two, also bought the wheel, the car, a little bed, and the ball. They were about 15.00 each. Wal Mart has been the cheapest place to get them around here. However, they only have about two items on the shelf at a time!

Haha, I had to make sure there was a little boy pictured on the boxes playing with the zhu zhu's, and sure enough, there is! Oh yea I'll have fun with it, too. We ALL will! Even the cats.

I edited my original post but I don't mind telling here too. A friend forwarded an email that said that ToysRUs was having a members only sale at 6am. So hubby swung by there and got one, and then swung by another ToysRUs a little later and got another one. Then he caught Target's opening at 8am and got one there too. We hit the jackpot!
