Besides dankos, what do you wear with your dresses, capris, and skirts, do you just wear your loafers or do you buy others to mix and match, such as sandals, sandals seem a bit ehh, esp. if they were open toe, tons of kids and ouchy toes!! Other flats? Lets see your shoe stash!
I have a serious thing for shoes . . . even though I have a TERRIBLE time finding shoes to fit my short, fat feet. I wear sandals--flats, wedges, heels--most of the time. Pretty much from March through October I'm in some form of sandal. I have some dress & casual flats as well as boots and heels, which range from a kitten heel to a 3 1/2 inch heel. Of course, no matter what shoes I wear a good 50% of the time I'm in slippers by lunch since I have arthritis in my feet & ankles. I have black and ivory Isotoner ballet slippers in my desk.
I'm a shoe addict - I admit it! So, that said I definitely don't buy shoes on comfort, but instead on the cute-ness. I have at least 50+ pairs and they are all worn too! I'd say one of my favorite pairs is my black peep-toe Nine West heels. They are cute, stylish and timeless. I LOVE them
if i had nice skinny thin feet id probably be a shoe addict! Instead im a gymboree addict for my three kiddos! LOL
Oh Payless has the cutest shoes! They're based on designer shoes, just on our budget And now they have guest designers, much like Target has been doing...perfect to add to my addiction!
I have several pairs of "dressy" sandals that I will wear until the frost starts arriving. Then, I have my all-time favorite CLARKS that will creep out of the shoe bin. I have at least 4 pair of their mules in tan, dk brown, merlot, and black. I have a navy pair and off-white pair of dress shoes from *hands head in shame* KMART. Yes, Kmart is the only place that I could find navy blue shoes in February. After getting paid in Sept., I plan on going out and collecting myself a couple new pairs-- I want a leather shoe of some sort and a couple of funky pairs.
Whoa! That's way more than I wear heels. I have a serious funky tennis shoe collection (approved by the P). I have bright colors, sequins, rhinestones, etc. If it's tacky, then I probably have it. It started as a way to keep the kids interested when we were on the floor....now I have a "funky shoe" reputation to uphold!
I go for comfort! I have a couple pairs of borns because I love them and they are comfy. They aren't cheap though-so I love sales along with a coupon!! I also love sandals and will where them as long as possible in the fall, but being in MN and having to do recess duty-I usually can't wear them as long as I like! I hate COLD feet!!
You can also find Borns on sale at Nordstrom Rack if you have one. I don't know if Nordstrom is a West Coast store or not.
I also have short, fat feet and usually buy shoes when I find some that fit - which is rarely. I try to have a pair of black, brown and white shoes - which means I have something to wear with most outfits.
I love wedges! They're just as flattering as skinny heels, but w/ the more stable support. I love these brands: Steve Madden Aerosoles Sudini Born Clarks Sofft Donald Pliner
I like to wear earth shoes. It is a nice change from borns. Shoes are expensive, but it is a wise investment for me...Shoes that my feet feel good in at the end of the day...Priceless!!!
When it is warm out I am usually in sandals or flip flops of some kind or open or closed toe flats. During cold mos. I am in either close toed flats or cute boots.
Has anyone ever tried a brand called Klogs? I purchased some at a nursing supply store near me, but I haven't tried them yet. They feel really comfortable, but I'll know soon how they are after wearing them all day.
I LOVE Klogs. They are so comfortable. I now have 3 pairs. I have to wear good quality shoes (size extra wide).
