Most of us probably keep a good bottle of lotion on our desks, in our bags, etc. I like Jergen's in the original Cherry Almond scent, but I'm always on the lookout for a nice lotion that isn't greasy or sticky-feeling, medium consistency, pleasant scented, & stays on so I'm not reapplying 10x/day. I'm willing to pay a little more than the drugstore brands. What is/are your favorite brand(s) of lotion?
I keep a bottle of Bath and Body in Moonlight Path. It is a lighter scent so I don't worry about perfume allergies, plus it is my favorite. Some afternoons after break outside, I good smell in my room, or at least on my hands, is nice (if you know what I mean).
I also love Moonlit Path. My favorite is Victoria's Secret Love Spell. I buy them when they are on sale because you can get 7 at a time pretty cheaply.
Moonlit Path is wonderful-I bought a candle in that fragrence and had it in my first newish car. The heat alone made it smell great. I love Amber Blackberry (I think that's the name) from Bath and Body Works. It has a wonderful deep smell, and goes nicely with my Euphoria perfume by Calvin Kline. I've been using both for a long time, and was just thinking the other day about changing. But I guess a signature scent is a good thing.
I wash my hands SO much with Pre-K that I have to use industrial strength hand cream. Sometimes, I feel like an RN. Also, some fragrances bother me (and my students). I use "Fragrance-Free" Neutrogena Hand Cream (comes in a small 2oz tube). It almost feels like Vaseline, but not greasy. I like it because my hands don't get all dried out and cracked when I use it. I LOVE IT! (Yes, I'm a walking advertisement... that and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers... gets crayon off anything. yea Pre-K) At home on special occasions, I use a light scent, Victoria Secret's Heavenly.
I like the Bath and Body Works lotions. I keep a small bottle of the antibacterial lotion on my desk at all times. The scents change, but I try to keep them light. I also love the body butters in their simplicity collection.
Curel!!!!! the best lotion ever!!!!! its worth the $8... I got it as a gift and havent used anything else since!!!
I wash my hands probably 100 times a day, so I'm constantly using lotion. My must-have (especially in winter) is Aquaphor. It is really thick and greasy, and takes a ton of time to rub in, but it stays on through a few washings and really keeps me moisturized during dry weather. The Neutrogena Norwegian Formula is good, too.
I love Bath & Bodyworks, but I mainly get their anti-bacterial hand soap. I haven't gotten their lotion in a long time. I love how they have so many scents to choose from. I esepcially like the Country Apple & there's a new one called Black Amethyst that's nice!
Been using Mary Kay Timewise, but now that winter is approaching, I need something "deeper". I'll be looking around this weekend. Bath and Body Works just don't work for me, but I do love the smell of them.
One of my best friends married a hunter/auto mechanic. Your perfect blue-collar manly man. She use to joke that she would have to bath in deer urine and run motor grease under her armpits before he'd be 'in the mood'. We actually found her a line of shower gels, lotions, etc. that came in oil containers and got her a set. It was awesome.
That stuff is wonderful!!! I splurged and bought the scrub and hand therapy lotion together....I had a new set of hands! It is really deep moisturizing, perfect for the winter months. :thumb:
I love this one from Bath and Body Works. It is so fresh smelling that I use a little whenever I need to wake up during the day and feel energized again! http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/pro...w=self+meditation&origkw=self+meditation&sr=1
Yrs ago, I tried Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Hand Cream & it was the thickest, stickiest feeling lotion I've ever felt. It may be better these days, but back then, it felt like wearing a glove!
For some reason this makes me think of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer starts using butter as shaving cream and eventually starts using it as a body lotion. This causes Newman to have some interesting hallucinations ....
Curel's Oatmeal Lavender lotion. I feels wonderful! The scent isn't overpowering, so I can wear it with most of my perfumes. One of my former students father worked for Jergen's...so I have lots of it!
