Bath and Bodyworks was running a sale on some of their stuff- buy 3 and get 3 free. I needed 5:)

And I had a coupon, spend $30 and get $20 off. So I got all 6 for $20 plus tax... and handed 2 spare coupons (I NEVER print up just one!!) to a woman who was entering the store as I left. I did the same thing at Kohls with my 15% off coupons-- handed off 2 others and left one in the cart I had been using.

I'm stuck at the mall. Got some Christmas lights at Target for cheap, and got some soaps and candles from Bath and Body Works. Will head to the book store shortly where Kobos are on a mega sale. Thinking of getting one for my wife. Getting MIL to do some intel for me first.

We caved in and bought a new TV from costco for $400. 40 inch TV

Our old TV was not the best. It's been dying for a year or so.

Took nieces out for a late afternoon stroll down the shopping avenue in the next town. Stopped by the Gap. Bought myself a pair of skinny red courderoy jeans for the holidays. 50% off everything in store.:D

I bought a $230 video baby monitor for $99. I wanted to buy a crib, but all the ones I liked were full price. I'm hoping to find a sale soon!

This year we did all our shopping online. I just can't handle the crowds and chaos this time around. Maybe next year.

The stuff we buy on Black Friday is almost always stuff for us. This year we got:
    2 Kindle Fire HDs
    flash drive (1 terabyte)
    laser printer
42-inch TV (a big upgrade for us!)

I was up for some reason at 5:30 this morning. I saw the mall opened at 7, so I got there at 7:30 & was all done by 9. It was much less crowded than what the news showed yesterday. The few things I need now are all things that can be bought at smaller stores not in the mall.

Today is Small Business Saturday! I have a few gift certificates to local businesses I plan to go use later, then we'll eat at a local restaurant for dinner. Oh, and a local ice cream place has gift cards on sale half price, so I will definitely be hitting that up!

I hardly ever go shopping on Black Friday, but I went to the mall yesterday with my mom and sister. Bought an Ann Taylor scarf for $2.09. Wow! Every other store was way too crowded. Bath and Body had a great sale but no way was I standing in that line.

I have never gone Black Friday shopping. Maybe when my daughter is a bit older, we'll make it a mother/daughter tradition. I still need to start my shopping. I'll probably do a lot of it Monday online. I have ideas of what I want to give people.

Even though we just got two new Kindle Fire HDs, I just now bought a Nook Simple Touch for $39. I have a million nookbooks for my old Nook, and I hate to see them go to waste when I move over to the Kindle. Also, I really love the e-ink on the Simple Touch. I am not usually one of those people with a million gadgets, but it looks like I'm turning into one!
