Anyone wanna show off a pic of her/his classroom? Another thread w/ a picture of a neat calander wall got me thinking. I bet there are alot of really cool classrooms of az teachers out there! I don't have my own class yet, but finding new ideas is my pass time till I finally have a class of my own. Any takers????
You can see some of my pictures on my webpage. Go to www.kyrene.org/staff/kjensen and click on Class Pictures.
Wow- you have a ton of great pics. The gingebread houses look fun! And I love the way you put fabric or paper around your dry erase boards.
Thank you!! Putting that fabric around the whiteboards took forever!! About 3 hours or so. But I was really pleased with the results.
katenar it looks like you have a ton of storage cabinets! Lucky you, I don't have half as much as that!
Awesome pictures so far! I'm addicted to classroom pictures. Here are some of mine from February. I've moved a lot of furniture this year. I just need the change! The door, mailboxes, and Reading Garden http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/sarakirby/Classroom 06/Updated Classroom Pictures/100_1034.jpg Guided reading area and sink, also the math shelf. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/sarakirby/Classroom 06/Updated Classroom Pictures/100_1033.jpg Calendar/Meeting area http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/sarakirby/Classroom 06/Updated Classroom Pictures/100_1038.jpg My messy desk area http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/sarakirby/Classroom 06/Updated Classroom Pictures/100_1037.jpg The Publishing Center/Computer Center http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/sarakirby/Classroom 06/Updated Classroom Pictures/100_1036.jpg Tables http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/sarakirby/Classroom 06/Updated Classroom Pictures/100_1039.jpg Some how my word wall and white board didn't end up in any of these pictures! Oops!
Miss Kirby where did you get the red and yellow mailbox from? And I love the water cans on each table!
crud, i want to see too!! Miss Kirby, the pictures aren't showing up for me!! Did everyone else see them?
Hmmm I wonder why the pictures aren't working?? Maybe try again later?? The red and yellow mailbox I found at Savers for $3! The watering cans I got at Wal-Mart. I probably shouldn't have bought them, but I couldn't resist, haha. When kids play around with them they make a lot of noise, which can be a good thing, because it's easier to catch them if they are playing around and not paying attention, hehe.
crud, still not working! oh well, i'll try again later. i'm dying to see all the pictures that i can so that i can get more ideas from my classroom next year!!!
That took some time but basically I set-up a template in FrontPage for all the students to use. They each had their own file folder on the server and went in and personalized their page. Unfortunately, I haven't found an easy way for them to add their work, etc but this is my first year doing it. I'm sure I'll figure something out....eventually!!
It's an idea I took from www.homeworkopoly.com except I just recreated the original monopoly board. If my kids do their homework they get to play. Where the regular properties are I made up names like Spelling Blvd. or Freedom Avenue. If the kids land on these they just sit....sort of a free space. However, where the utilities, railroads, taxes, community chess and chance spots were, I added things such as Pencil Box, Treat Jar, Homework Pass, Brain Benders, Computer Time and for the cards my titles are School Lunchbox and Backpack. Where it said go to jail (the 3rd corner) I have put go to the school house with a bus sticker. Then where the jail house use to be, I have a school lot. Where free parking was I have lunchtime and Go is just that - GO. My kids earn tickets weekly to be placed in a drawing. I figured when they pass go I'll give them a ticket. This is my first year using it and the hardest part is finding time to play. But when we do get to, the kids really enjoy it.
I can't see any ones except Miss Kirby. I like the pictures. I took pictures but I need to upload them some place.
Jaime , you should do your bulletin board one again, except this time use your photo on the garderner!
Cute classrooms everyone! I love to look at other people's classrooms!!! I will need to take some updated pics. of my classroom and post them.
Here is a view of my classroom from the principal's doorway. This is the "little" kids' room. Not sure why it is showing up blurry here because it's not on the host page.
Here is one of my bulletin board. I won't post any more. I have ten more different angles of the classroom. Sorry it's blurry again. The yellow words are ones that my kinderkid knows and white ones are ones she is still leaerning. I need to put up some new words.
Lol, Miss Kirby, if you think that is messy, then you would HATE to see my desk area! I always love seeing pictures of your room, it's so neat and organized. To everyone else, your classroom pics are great! I'll have to see if I can find the ones I posted last year on my blog. For some reason, I haven't taken any pics of my room this year.
I am loving all the pictures! So many creative ideas. Jaime- your room is huge! Please- post more! Miss Kirby- I love the spring theme in your room! The blue skies, watering cans, blue fabric, and the bees. Too cute! That must have been alot of work.
Thanks, cinaminsweet and teacherwannaB! I suppose it's not horribly messy, but I'd like it to be better!!! I used to have the obsession of BUYING things, now I'm starting to obsess over ORGANIZING things... oh and moving furniture.. ha.
Peachyness - I couldn't see yours. I'll try again. I love, love, love, your classrooms, Jaime and Miss Kirby. They are so well-equipped. Mine looks really crummy in comparison. And like a miniature room.
Thanks Daisy. I have been working on cleaning out the last five teachers things. So it's more organized. Next to go is the teacher desk. I don't use it.Just end up piling stuff on top of it. And hopefully that silly reading loft.
I hate it. It's to big! And next year I"ll have an ED kid. I can see it now. He's up in the loft having a fit chunking stuff down the stairs at us. I want to have a nice beach theme or comfy by the fire place scence for winter.
This was my favorite bulletin board that started off the year. Each of the kids' names is on a flip flop. (Can you tell I love the beach?!) This one is when my students were working on a project, but it gives you a good overview of what the room looks like. (Earlier in the year.) I just couldn't resist including this one from last year. This was our big open house project. They were a big hit!
Finally we get to see Jamie's infamous reading loft!! Is anyone else having trouble seeing my pictures?
