You know it's going to be a (blank) day when......
Thought this might be fun. Add your own.
You know it's going to be a rough day when the sub plans say: "My hard to manage kids are:" and there are more than 5 names listed. : /
I'm not a sub, but I have a good one. This is what my sub found when she entered my room last week....
You know it's going to be a bad day when you find that your classroom ceiling has collapsed because thieves dismantled the air conditioner on the roof and then fell through the opening. Oh, and they stole some of your school-issued electronic equipment as well.
You know it's going to be a rough day when you come back from a day off and find out that the sub never showed up and no one in the school had a clue until lunch time! (This happened many years ago in my 6th grade class.) Apparently, the kids decided to be quiet and well behaved and just played all morning.
You know it's going to be a forehead-bruising day when the teacher just lists a bunch of page numbers in the textbook, and he forgot to leave the text.
You know it's going to be a poop-in-your-pants day when the secretary is calling teachers alphabetically cos only one sub showed up.

you know it's going to be a rough day when you are helping a student with a stuck zipper and they pee all over you.... into your rain boot and everything! **squish squish**
I'm sorry, teach1, but that made me laugh out loud!
You know it's going to be "one of those days" when and a 1st grader has somehow managed to get a classmates book bag stuck to their head. I'm talking hair in the zipper... at 8:05 AM.
You know it is going to be a weird day when two classmates arrive handcuffed together and the principal has to take them to a locksmith. (Evidently one kid found the handcuffs in his parents' bedroom..... and offered to show them to the other kid. True story. )
Like cat, I think that my reaction is best expressed with a gif.
One time in high school this happened to my class. We were just all sitting there hanging out for about 30 minutes until the Principal came running in! Our teacher bought us all doughnuts the next day.
These are so funny! Keep 'em going!

You know its going to be a long day when you walk in the door and the Principal, the secretary, and the lead teacher all look you in the eye, say "I'm sorry, we owe you" and hand you list where you are to be in 10 rooms in a span of 3 hours, some of which are scheduled at the same time.
You know it's going to be a great day when the teacher is still in the room, looks up to see you walking in, and smiles while saying, "I was hoping you would get the sub call. I can leave lesson plans for you, not subbing plans."
You know it's going to be a rough day when all the office personnel and neighboring teachers are warning you about the class before you even step foot in it.
