    ...with honey than with vinegar!

That's a piece of advice I wish I could've given a parent who demanded something and yelled at me!

I have a really great rapport with parents and am usually able to calm them down when they're upset. This parent, though, made my blood boil!

Seems to be the time of the year, YTG.

My P commented after school yesterday that he spent much of his week (the first week of school) listening to parents complain about their children's class placements. Hope this parent is able to change their ways.

I said that same phrase to a coworker about the parents and another issue at work.:)
It was a reminder to me to be sweet rather than scream.

That's one reason I couldn't do what you do YTG! I have tons of patience for little kids (often they don't know better) but adults acting like fools I will never understand. We had an issue this week where that happened, the parent through this huge fit and yelled at several different people and then the issue he was complaining about turned out to be his fault. Karma! ;)

I agree YTG!! I dealt with a parent like that all year last year. Just had to kill her with kindness as they say.

Yeah, I tend to have more patience with kids than adults. I would say it's just because kids don't know any better but I have had my share of parents who didn't know any better either which was quite sad. I tried to be patient with them too but it was difficult.
