Year in Review, anyone?

I'd like to do some kind of "year in review" activity with my kids this week (we don't have vacation now). Something like the main newsworthy events, like many newspapers put out around New Year's, but on an elementary level. Too lazy to put it together myself (though I might end up doing so if I don't find something by Tuesday!) Does anyone have a good link to someone who did it well already? An article or powerpoint would be just great.
