Thank you! I ordered them with my Scholastic points, so they were free!

Also, I wanted to add, if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear how to make things even better!

And your video is awesome! Your room is HUGE; what grade do you teach? And what do you store in those cabinets where your sink is at??

i have the same clutter free goal, but i'm getting overwhelmed because i keep getting things i need. i'm not back in my room yet, but it looks like i will be purging a lot.

did you get rid of a lot of things? or, did you just not have that much clutter to begin with?

looks great! I wish my room was done and neat like yours. I have one day left completely free of meetings. Then the fun begins. I think we have some blocks of time to work in rooms, but paper work will need to be done as well. I would just like to finish it all tomorrow if possible.

Acutually, it is really really tiny, I swear!! It is the smallest room in the building! I tried really hard to make it look bigger though by getting rid of my teacher's desk, and getting rid of 4 of those students tables. My students will be kind of smooshed at their seats now (5-6 at a set of 2 tables), but I think it will be okay b/c I dont make them work at their seats-- they are free to lay on the floor or sit somewhere else and work.

    Thanks everyone!!

Your room looks very nice. I have the same rug in my room. I love the red chairs. I guess I need to use my points to get something other than books.

I'd say you met your goal, there is no clutter anywhere! I think that should be my goal too!! And is your carpet from Target? I'm thinking about buying one, but I'm worried that my 18 might not all fit on it...

Your room is clutter free! Mission accomplished!

I want to keep my classroom clutter free, too. I'm new, so it's up to me to keep from storing tons of stuff I "might" need in there :) So far so good.

    Congratulations!

Hi! The colored block one is from Big Lot ($15). It is pretty small though. I am using it more just to define the space. Probably not even half my kids will fit on it!

I felt so good to throw away a bunch of stuff! (or recycle). My main goal was to have my room look nice and cheerful without it being too visually stimulating. Before I had lots of posters up all over the room and all that stuff here and there. I realized kids never look at those or use them. So we will make them ourselves!

Hmm. that's a first. I'm replying with quote to my own post.

I went ahead and told the P that I'd like tables if there were any. I didn't think there would be since we're overflowing already and he's had to put classrooms in the storage rooms. All the desks that were stored away had to be placed in teacher's rooms.

However, he had gotten five tables and 3 of the u-tables. When I asked, he had two tables and one u-table left. I took them without thinking too much about it. It looks a bit odd in there with kid's desks and tables and one group at a u-table. But definitely less cluttered. I stored a few extra desks in an area out in the hallway, and the rest are up against the wall.

I'm not sure if I wish I had kept my mouth shut. Oh, well. The kids like it and those who wanted a desk got one, and those who wanted a table got one. And I got a bit more room.
