This is my first year using xtramath. Can I leave my current class on there over the summer? Some of them have expressed a desire to continue using the site over the summer.

I just emailed their support team. Let's see how they respond!

Wow! Here is the response I just received!!

Your classroom will expire, but students may continue to use the account as long as there is a parent linked to it. Parents will never expire. The default expiration date is July 1st, but you can change that by signing in to your account via the parent/teacher sign in page and then clicking "edit class info" on the left side.

    Thanks,
    Erika Newell

Question about Xtramath...I just started using it and already I've noticed some of my students using it at home. I love seeing their progress!

I have one student who has a green dot by her name and it says she completed the addition placement quiz. Her "score" is a 39. I read the help questions related to the mastery score, but I'm confused - is this score considered a 39 out of 100? I don't understand the less than 3 second thing. She almost all the questions correct, but her score is a 39. Can you explain this to me?

39 is the % of addition problems she has mastered. In order to master, they have to enter the fact correctly within three seconds.

Next to each problem, there is a symbol.
Yellow Smile- correct within three seconds
Green Check- correct within 10 seconds
Blue Hourglass- not answered within 10 seconds
    Red X- incorrect answer

Ok, I understand. Will it make her retake it if she hasn't mastered the facts or is she free to move on?

The program will do it all for her now- you don't have to do anything. It will test her each day by giving her new facts, having her "beat the teacher" for a game and such. You will be able to see progress in your teacher tab. Just have them practice each day- they usually get 3 sessions within the 10ish minutes they're on the program.

I like checking it every couple of days to see which of my students are using it and how they are progressing!

I just started it last week, so far it's great..except for one thing. I run it on 3 computers simultaneously. Sometimes a kid who's working on it gets picked to be next, even though they're already in progress. It confuses the kids. I just have them click on busy.
