Writing in Third Grade

How often do you do writing projects where you do the 5 step writing process? Do you do journal entries if so how frequently? My first year teaching 3rd grade and I am trying to see what other teachers do.

 

I follow a writing workshop philosophy. Notebook entries every day. A published piece at least once a month...depending on unit of study.
