    I am in shock....
So, after a sleepless night of bring told the Ga PSC was now going to refuse to allow me to convert my certificate at the school I took the offer from (long story...which makes no sense and isn't worth telling).....

I got a phone call from the facilitator this morning and the Ga PSC has made a concession on it and is going to allow me to convert under the mentor program after all! :D They said due to the way things are with people trying to get jobs, and my facilitator really doing a GREAT job of convincing them, they would allow it! YEA!!!!! That is a relief since I had already decided no matter what that I would honor my word to this school and keep the job no matter what.

So, talked to my principal and he is on board with it and is looking forward to signing my paperwork for me next week! :thumb:

Ummmm.... I am confused is this the private school job that you accepted or is this the public school that offered you a job earlier?

It's a private, Christian school. Once the public school found out I had a non-renew, they refused to interview me.

I can't tell you how relieved I felt when I got the call from my facilitator. She even emailed me so I could have it in writing! :thumb:

amakaye....the P is planning for me to teach first grade, but if numbers were to go up more (it's a private school) and they have to split 3rd and 4th grade then I may get bumped to one of those grades. My preference is 1st though and the P said he is pretty sure that is where he will keep me.

How exciting. That is what I assumed, but the way you worded your announcement left me unsure. Enjoy your last days of vacation with the knowledge that you have a secure future ahead!

I will feel "fully" secure next week once I sign my name on those papers  However, after speaking to my principal again today and him saying he'd plan to see me next week I feel pretty excited!

I know having that last sheet of paper signed, sealed, and delivered makes you feel all happy inside. It WILL happen this time!
