There is a job posted within the division I currently work in and I have applied online.

My question, would you also send your resume and cover letter to the school (Admin) that is hiring for that position?

We do not have a separate application process for in house applicants we apply just as anyone else does the only difference is where it asks are we a current employee we would say Yes.

    TIA

I would...I would say in a quick note attached...something like "just wanted to be sure you got this"

I would! I would say, "I've already completed the district required application process, but I wanted to make sure you got this information directly..." something like that.

Thanks guys.......my husband made another suggestion I'd like to get an opinion on.

The Asst Principal where I work now used to teach at the school with the opening and we have a good relationship...my husband suggested to me that I speak with him about the position and my interest and ask if he could put a word in for me. My husband said in many cases there is an inside connection or they already have someone in mind before posting the position, as I think someone here alluded to in another thread.

I know a teacher left one high school as a coach and teacher for another high school...same positions in same district AFTER our transfer request period had passed and the job was posted to the general public.

I would ask that Ap to write you a letter of recommendation
It's all about who you know
