Recently I took my wife out and I guess I attracted some unwanted attention. I guess I "grabed" the attention of another man. Yeah don;t ask it was creepy. Anyway, I herd some strange but funny pickup lines and figured I'd start a thread posting funny pickup lines.

"Mind if I stand over here til the air clears were I came from?"
"I lost my number, can I have yours"
"You must be a parking ticket because you have FINE written all over you"

Share you pickup lines for fun.

"Are you wearing reflective clothing? Because I can see myself in your pants!"

Thankfully, only overheard, never used or received.

    The old classic...

I actually find it difficult to imagine a woman would ever find a pickup line anything but creepy. Do they ever work?

I think pick up lines, said by the right person as a joke, could be a funny way to break the ice.
Once I had a guy come up to me and kind of poke me with his car keys and said, "can I turn you on?" it was meant as a laugh and we dated for a few months. Now if it was said in a serious way...no, no, no!!

I think it depends on whom your trying to pickup and how smooth you are at saying the line. Back in my single says I had about a 90% success rate picking up dates. It also required alot of work speech wise and appearence wise. I found in most cases, I could of told them I was a serial killer and they would of still dated me. appearence plays a key role I think in gaining someones intial interest. After that you must rely on your intelect and sound like a decent/intel person with common sense. women seem to be attracted to intelect alot.

I've been happily married for 22 years tomorrow.

Thankfully I have no idea what an effective pick up line might be.

To the best of my memory, I've never had a real conversation with any guy who found one necessary.

I was a victim of this in high school- I wish I was your derivative so I could lie tangent to your curves.

At least that shows minimal inteligence.

Minimal class, too, but at least some intelligence!!

Personaly Im flattered when a women attempts to pick me up but its kinda weird when the same sex thinks I'm gay and trys to pick me up. Makes me rethink what I wear clothing wise lol (No offense to the gay men out there).

I'm kind of interested in knowing what the man said/did when he was hitting on you! Was it blatant or was he being pretty subtle?

I've heard that one before, but then again, I was a math major.

The other "nerd" one I've heard is "You must be an exothermic reaction because you're HOT".

I roll my eyes at all the corny lines my husband says 16 years later. He recently told me to enjoy it because I might not get them when I'm 80. I told him he better still be saying them when I'm 80 even if I think he needs MUCH better pick up lines and his are too corny. He said something about the lines might be geared more to picking those babies up (pointing to a region of mine that might sag). I slapped him and told him he better not ever say that to me.

"You've got to be tired, because you've been running through my mind all night long."

I seriously had an older gentleman ask me, "What's your sign?" one night. I said, "Here's your sign." as I was walking away! LOL!

Actually, my favorite pick up line ever was "Isn't this where I'm supposed to say some cheesy pick up line?"

    In college:

    - "Are you religious? Because you are the answer to my prayers!"
    - "If you were an open book, you'd be fine print!"

BF got me with a subtle one...

"If a turtle didn't have a shell, would he be homeless or naked?"

Not typical, but it did get us talking for hours :)

"Nice shoes." That one is my favorite. I guess the line may not be that great, but the guy who delivered it was especially fun. ;)
