I found out that I am pregnant and we are so excited. I went to my dr. today for the first time and they were trying to see how far along I am. From the date of my last cycle I would be 6 1/2 weeks. They decided to do a scan on me to look at the baby. The doctor said from the look of the baby I would only be 5 1/2 weeks. The dr. said it could mean one of two things. One could be that I am just not as far along as they thought and the other could be that the embryo stopped developing and I will miscarry. I go back in 2 weeks for another scan to see whats happening. At first when he told me I was sure I was just a week earlier---logically it makes perfect sense. But then I started thinking and so now I am worried I ovulated a week later than I normally should have and my cycles are often times off by a week so that would make sense. I just pray that everything works out and the baby continues to develop normally. Pray for us please
Oh, hanvan, you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. I can only imagine how worried you are, I'd probably be a wreck. Honestly, though, you probably just ovulated a little later than usual. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Keep us updated.
Hi hanvan, I'll be praying for you... If you know you ovulated a week later, you probably don't have anything to worry about! The ovulation date is what really matters, because that's when the baby started developing. I'm going to PM you with more info. I had an early u/s last week to make sure things were okay so I understand the worry. I'm sorry you have to wait.
Hanvan, I will keep you in my prayers. I'm sure it's becaus of your ovulation being at a different time. As advanced as we are technologically, exact due time is still hard to come up with. I will keep you and your little one in my prayers.
I am going to try and call them to do some blood work. They can test the levels of HCG (I think thats what its called) on one day and retest again a few days later. If the levels are increasing then I am good...if they are flat lining or decreasing then its not good. I can get this done by this week-the not knowing is killing me.
Ok I called and I am going today and friday for blood work---they will know something by friday Please pray its all ok
I called the dr. and they said my counts for Tuesday look really good and that this is very common. So I just need my counts to go up 70% tomorrow and things will be fine.
I just spoke to the dr. and my HCG levels are rising just like they should be and I have another appt. on the 13th to see the little guys heartbeat. I feel a lot better though.
