Wish Me Luck

Well tomorrow is the big day, I'm leaving California for Florida and my first real job! I've lived in California all my life (I won't say how long that is..lol ), but with an almost non-existent job market for teachers I had to make some hard decisions about what I wanted to do. The district and school in Florida seems very welcoming and supportive and I'm excited that I will finally have my own classroom! But yet I'm nervous and a little scared too....I've got my car packed almost to bursting and my wonderful, amazing better half will be following shortly with the furniture (he'll be staying in California for awhile until the house sells). Anyway, I've been coming on AtoZ for some time, I've read everyone's chats more than I've responded, but I'm hoping you all will wish me luck on my new adventure!

I'll be teaching in Tampa, but living in Clearwater.

I'll be teaching 3rd grade - one of my favorite grades! Thank you all for the good wishes, it nervousmakes me feel less anxious. I like Upsadaisy's idea about a get-together too. We'll have to have a Florida native/transplant celebration!

 

My dad grew up in Clearwater. Small world!

 

Can I come too? I used to spend my summers not far from Bradenton...
