I'm getting together with some teacher friends of mine for a wine party. I don't drink wine, but my friend said just bring any bottle of wine.

Any suggestions on what kind to bring that isn't too expensive?

Do you have any idea what is being served?

(I don't buy expensive wine, but I have found several for under $10 a bottle that we like. I hope the prices are comparable where you are.)
If you want a sweet white, I love the sweet Riesling by Chateau St. Michelle.
For a red, you could try the Two Vines red blend. Or Menage a Trois has a good red blend also.

You can get a nice Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio for under $12. I'd go with a merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon if you want to bring red. Ask the wine merchant where you shop...they can be a great help!

Any moscato from Italy is a good bet. Yum!

My sentimental favorite is Cline Ancient Vine Zinfandel (much tastier than the standard zin). Most Malbecs are also an excellent choice for a moderate price.

Moscato is amazing! I love Barefoot and Cupcake brands. They are super cheap, too, and I can find them at any grocery store in my area.

    Ooooh, lots to choose from!

I'm not sure what she's serving...she just said for everyone to bring their favorite wine so we can taste them all!

I love Pinot Noir. Barefoot brands are pretty good and reasonably priced.

I don't like wine (or alcohol in general) and appear clueless anytime wine is mentioned. However, we had a birthday supper for a friend at a nearby winery. They had tastings available, and I ended up with a concord that I liked. The aftertaste was more grape than alcohol, so I preferred that. It was good with seafood and cheese. Have no idea if they are supposed to go with it, but I liked it. (I'm not cultured enough for wine, I suppose.)

Mine was from Acres of Land. I'm not sure where it's sold.

The Barefoot brand of Moscato is my favorite! And it's only around $5-6 here!
