My wedding is Memorial Day weekend (I stupidly planned it before I got a job) and we had an extra snow day, so I was going to have to go to school before my wedding. Luckily, I was able to get the day off! I thought we were done with this snow business o_O

On the bright side, peony season is upon us and summer is coming closer! :)

I am loving my unexpected spring snow day right now. I am looking forward to trillium blooming in the woods in a couple months and being able to dry my laundry outside on the line!

We start them off in toddler class by holding a rope with rings.:p

Lines are a necessary evil of human life. I’ve had criticism that my preschoolers look like soldiers. Whatever. :D Prepares them for the road ahead. Bus lines, grocery lines, bank lines, etc. The digital kids & their young parents can’t deal with lines. You always see them in self-checkout.

Claritin-D 24 hr is my drug of choice. You have to start taking it last week in Feb. Pharmacies only allow 30 day supply per person and you have to show your DL and get it behind the counter - which means standing in line! I ask friends to buy my drugs so I don’t run out!

The groundhog never sees his shadow around here!

I just opened my blinds, and it looks like Christmas.

Pollen is killing me. Oak trees blooming so my car is covered in green dust.

No pollen here! We’re expecting 8-16” this weekend.

Today we had snow, hail, rain, sunshine, and enough pollen to cause my asthma to act up. It was thrilling.

I like spring, when it actually happens. I hate the in-between winter and spring season. Right now it gets warm during the day, snows over night and then we wake up to super icy roads in the morning. Yesterday my usual 1 hour 10 minute drive took almost 2 hours because I had to drive so slowly on icy roads.

In the summertime when the weather is hot
You can stretch right up and touch the sky
    When the weather's fine
You got women, you got women on your mind
Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and see what you can find

    OOPS! Wrong thread!

We're in for a doozy of a winter storm this weekend--rain, freezing rain (with accretions of up to 20mm), ice pellets, snow, and then more rain. All starting overnight tonight, with the final conversion to rain late Sunday. It will be a great weekend to hibernate with coffee, books, and wine!

We are definitely still waiting for spring! We got 11” last night, and we are expecting 8-16” more between now and Sunday. The roads east of me are ‘no tow’ right now which means they leave your car and take you to a gas station to wait out the storm. Some Catholic parishes east of me have even canceled Sunday masses.

When I move again, I will definitely get a garage. It is so annoying and time consuming to clear snow and ice off your car.

You wait all year, and get socked with allergies. Has anyone ever tried the shots?? Do they work? Can they still work if you’re over 40?

Women are out all year round. We are under 3 layers of clothing for 5 months.
