How much time a day do you get with your students? I see mine 5 days a week for 30 mins each day. I am just curious how much time other teachers have, as well as are you able to get a lot done in the time you meet with your kids? I am feeling like I am not getting a lot done and trying to come up with a better weekly schedule of what do do on each day of the week. Fridays are test days and my kids get tests read to them, so on Fridays my time is devoted to that. Also, when you pull kids what materials do you use? Last year, I used the Sidewalks Series, this year I am using the stories from their classroom and adapting things as needed. I just want to see what other schools and teachers are doing.

I'm an LD teacher for 3rd-5th. Some of my students are serviced through the general class setting (inclusion with me for support) and others are pulled out into my classroom. It really depends on their level of need, but typically it's 45 minutes per day for reading. We use SRA corrective reading and reading mastery (the targeted intervention program provided by my district). Many reading specialists and teachers with a reading background aren't big fans of SRA because it's very scripted and often not authentic learning, but it really works for most of my students so I'm sticking with it until I'm told otherwise.

I'm a general education teacher, but I have 2 LD students in my class. They have 30 minutes with the special education teacher every day.

I'm the reading/math tutor at a catholic school. I see kids in K-6th grade. I see students for 30 mins 4 days a week. That said, 30 minutes includes picking them up in their classroom, walking across the school and out to the auxiliary trailer, teaching, then walking them back.

I use Reading A-Z and love it! I use Dibels for assessment and for 1 & 2nd we learn the Dolch sight word list.
