I get them every once in a blue moon. I get them in the inner eye corner, but a person can get them on the eyelid as well.
Last month I had about 4...I would get one on the top, and then one on the bottom. They are so annoying (and painful!).
My daughter had them consistently for the first two months of kindergarten. They hurt and are bothersome. I warm wash cloth helps relieve some pain and helps either bring the stye to a head or helps it heal faster.
I get them on and off. My eye doctor also mentioned putting a warm wet wash cloth on them. They are really uncomfortable when you wear contacts.
Probably just curious about how common they are, right? I've never had one. The girl who sat across from me in high school art had one once, but that's the only experience I've had with styes. And I have no clue why I remember that. Eyes kind of gross me out, so I don't like to look at them and treat them in any way...so I'm glad I haven't had a stye.
You could see it? Maybe what I am thinking is a sty isn't. Mine are little and tiny, and no one can see them but me (unless someone else gets up close and I point it out)...
No, I don't remember seeing it...I just remember her complaining about it and calling it a stye (I hadn't previously even heard of such things).
I just googled pictures of styes and just about puked on the keyboard...you can certainly see those!
lol. I'm glad there was no puking involved, and since I have not yet eaten (even though it's 9:25 pm here), I will not google styes.... lol
A few school years ago (I think it was my 2nd year teaching) I got a stye 4 times!!! They are so painful and ugly! Anyway, the 4th time I got a stye I ended up going to the doctor. He gave me an oral antibiotic and I haven't gotten one since! Thank goodness!!!
we all eventually experience a variety of health issues and concerns ranging from pimples to styes to IBS... I understand looking for advice on treatment...I find the general sharing of ailments for curiosity's sake to be a bit puzzling...but to each his own. Have at it.
I get them every once in awhile on the edge of my eyelid. They are teeny-tiny so no one else would ever notice that I had one. They are annoying though!
