When I make a to-do list, and do something important but not on my list, I write it down just so I can cross it off  I can't be the only person that does this!
Done it! Every now and then I'll put "Start to-do list" on my list... then "Check off first two items"... feels nice to start of with a list of things already done
This. I love lists, but my husband's favorite line is that a list is just documentation of failure to perform! So, I make up his lists!
Oh how funny. I'm not much of a list-maker. I do, however, wash measuring cups that have only measured water.
I learn best by writing. So coming up with the list is what does it for me; I seldom have to actually refer to my list once it's written. So I pretty much NEVER cross anything off my list.
Lists are made to remember things if you remember something not on the list, you have remembered, the list is successful!
