I'm doing an ocean theme (not very extreme though - just small accents) and would like to keep all my bulletin boards the same color. I plan to use black border with small white dots on all my boards. I'm so conflicted about which color fabric to buy for the boards - black or a bright light blue?
I have an ocean theme too, and I use both black and blue! The black is great as a word wall background, and it makes student work POP! The blue is great because it goes with all things seasonal and it's a nice, calming color. Sorry, I guess that didn't help you much, did it? If you want just one, go with the blue.
Yes! I am thinking like a teal sort of blue, with the black and white border... This is the border: http://www.buyteachercreated.com/estore/product/4671
Bulletin Color Definitively aqua color. You can get fabric in that color at JoAnn's. That would really pop!
I would go with blue for an ocean theme, but I use black quite often. I think I'm going to use black fabric this year to cover my bb. I've never used fabric before. Does the black fabric fade over time?
I would go with a torquise with that black and white. Not regular light blue. I agree that black is great for a word wall.
I used black for my word wall last year - it worked. I also had purple, dark green and blue - I thought they were good colors and calming.
