I am looking to find volunteer opportunities in education(possibly mentoring). I am also seeking out before and after school programs for next year. Any thoughts? I am in CT.

Hi! I am in CT too. Try Kelly Services... just saw a listing the other day for after school programs. Good luck!

Thanks. That's a good start, I forgot about Kelly services. It seems the job market in CT is pretty slow right now, I want to continue to search out other options to stay in the game as a plan B option.

It is. I finally got a call for an interview after 50-odd some apps. What do you teach? I am K-6. I am one class away from English 7-12. Think I would have more luck with that but I have run out of money for classes until I get a job! LOL

There may be quite a few local non-profits who deal with families that provide education in one form or another to their clients. Contact them directly, or see if there is a county hotline that provides info about services to get a list.

How about calling your local elementary and offering your time. It is a great way to get your foot in the door.
