I've been there! Oops, never mind, just checked the map and the closest I got was Ironton and Farmington. I've always lived in the Springfield area. Now that I think of it, I had a little girl in my class whose father was from Fredricktown. That's probably why the name is so familiar. It was a memorable student because her mother tried to fake an abduction and took off with her daughter to another state. We didn't know what happened for several days. He ended up with full custody and I never saw her again.
Yep. I live only 10 minutes from the border and I just moved down here 3 years ago, but have been teaching up there for 14 years. I didn't want to give that up so I moved to a school in my district that is closer to the border and voila! It's only a 30 minute commute all together...rarely a delay at the border.
