Okay I got my content exam out of the way. When should I apply for the Praxis? I honestly want to take a break from studying for a little whiel but I understand you have to take this PPR in order to obtain full certification.

I took the Praxis the semester before I student taught. That's what my school recommended. I guess it was so that if someone didn't pass, they had a semester to do it again before graduation.

If it's a basic skills test (Praxis I), get it over with.

I did same as Amers, took it in April and I student teach this fall. That way if you don't pass there are more dates in the fall to re-take it to hopefully pass before finishing student teaching. I found it to be a pretty easy test though and passed all parts. This week I'll find out how I did on the 0533 Content Knowledge that I took on June 9th.

And like TeacherGroupie says, just get it over with!

I took the exam the semester before student teaching as well, and I highly recomment that. Best of luck!
