I've had years like that, too. This year was very special.
I will be happy to see a few of the girls in my class leave. I love my boys this year. My aid asked if we could request all boys for next year haha
I'm working this summer and have a whole bunch of girls. There are a couple who are so catty and mean I can't believe it. Some of the things that come out of a 5 year olds mouth just stuns me.
That is exactly how my girls are. One of my girls cries everyday about the smallest things even if you look at her the wrong way. My boys let everything roll off their shoulders and move on.
I have a new one that cries about everything and rambles around the room like a maniac all day! Then there are the two "beauty queens" who talk and act like they're 15 and leave the other girls out(like the new one who whines and cries all day and they are part of her problem.) Yea, the boys just build stuff and drive trucks full of stuff around all day. If they get mad, they just yell and the intruder shapes up! funny...
We had a wonderful lunch at the Croquet Club. The head of school had kind words for us all, each teacher said one thing they learned this year or one success, and we each got a small gift. Two teachers are leaving and they both got lovely gifts.

One more day!
The clock can not move faster!
Our last day of post planning was May 23rd.
Hang in there for those still in school. You are almost there!!
ok I have the first week of summer school down and out for the count. 3 more weeks. I never thought summer school was going to be so much of a pain. I have a whole class of goof offs. Guess thats why they are in summer school and they are only in the first grade. We spent part of the morning outisde because the fire alarm went off and they couldn't find the problem.
Had my last day and I cried the ugly cry when they left! My kids all spontaneously erupted right before the final bell and said "GROUP HUG".......they all ran up and gave me the BIGGEST HUG I'VE EVER HAD!!!!! I LOVED this class...and will always miss them. Nine of my kids were crying at the end of the day as well......I am drained emotionally.

3 more days..3 more days...I can do it!! Don't ask how though...we're going on a trip tomorrow in honor of the 2 girls who didn't have "birthday parties" yet-they're summer birthdays, so it's not a real birthday. I don't know anything about Tuesday yet, except that it'll be pressure, pressure, pressure, and Wednesday is "graduation" and the last day. This teacher is finally doing something that I actually LOVE-it's called "graduation without aggravation" we have a graduation that we practiced for only one time, while the parents, grandparents, and everyone else goes about their usual bussiness. The teacher videotapes it, and whoever wants can order a copy. Pure bliss...
June 26th for students, June 27 for teachers. YUCK! Originally, we were suppose to get out on the 21st, but then the weather of 2006 came and pushed us back. Gotta love the nasty weather.
Where in Wash are you????
