Our last day is the 22nd of June. We go back after labour day.
I hope I can get my classroom packed up by then. I have a 4 hour meeting on Friday morning that I might skip to get my packing done. It is a committee meeting where they are planning for next year and all they will be doing is going through questionnaires and since I won't be here next year....
June 7th half day for students
June 8th is our last duty day (leave whenever your grades are done)

Today is my last full day!!!!! Graduation is tonight too Super excited!
June 20th for teachers and the kids. Can't wait
Day after tomorrow is it! I'm going to miss these kids, but I am ready for a break. My nieces and I are headed out of town as soon as I'm through Wednesday. A few days of swimming, children's science museum, and riverwalk shopping!
Our law (state) says that we cannot start before May 19th. So we started on the 20th this school year.
36.5 hours. (Not that I'm counting)
Last day for Pre-K (which I teach) is 6/11. The rest of the students end on 6/15. Teachers go until 6/19. I'm on a curriculum committe for SS this year, and I'm working until 6/27.
We go back two weeks before labor day (teachers only) and the kids start one week before labor day.
We don't start until after Labor day which was September 5th last year and since we didn't have to make up any snowdays (they are built in and we get the Friday before Memorial Day off if the snowdays are not used). So in short we get out June 12th students 1/2 day June 131/2 day for teachers.
Our last day is May 25. We started August 2.
May 18 for the students that completed their final exams and May 22 for those who are border line of failing. Teachers get out May 25 at 12:00.........AMEN!
Students get out on May 25th. Teachers have until the 30th. Told my group today that we really needed the hiatus from each other before we start back July 27th. Their halos are starting to slip (thought they were angels that's why I decided to loop with them to 3rd grade).
Students finish June 18, teachers the 19th. We start school the week before Labor Day, teachers that Mon., the students on Tues. We had 5 snow/ice days this winter. Without them we would be getting out June 11.
June 15th for students.
June 18th for teachers.
I have also survived my first year!

Students leave Friday, May 25 at 11:00. Teachers habe two work days beyond that, but I am not counting those. My stress level will plummet around 11:10 on Friday!
June 19th. Two make up snow days were added.
Half-day tomorrow for students 11:15 cannot get here fast enough. Teachers have to stay two days beyond tomorrow. But as runs said I am not counting those.
Mrs. C, I'm with you.... June 29th is the last day for teachers.
Whew...I'm glad I'm not alone!
Our district's last day is June 25!!! And school started August 30!!!
From the first week of school through Christmas break every other Friday was a student day off for one reason or another. I am not exagerating.
Nine more days and counting! Snow days got us too or we would have been out May 28! June 5 will not get here soon enough
come on summer
May 23, 2007
Well it was supposed to be May31 for students and then June 1 for teachers. Then we had the three day ice storm. We now have to go half day June 1st and teachers have to work on June 2 which happens to be Saturday. Both of those days I dont want to work at all. June 1 is my 17th anniv. and June 2 is hubby bday.
My last day was yesterday. I'm a free woman!! (Well except for the classes, workshops, and conferences I'm doing this summer!)
One more half day and kids go home!
School doesn't start back up until Aug. 20th! I have no idea what to do with myself!
We have to be out of the building on June 6th and are not allowed back until school starts!
We're here until June 7, but everyone immediately around us is out during the next few days. If only we had air conditioning!!!
No AC? Yuck! My sisters went to Elementary in St Louis and the beautiful old building had no AC either! Terrible....
Tomorrow is the last student day! Friday for the teachers. We have to have everything boxed and off the shelves because we are getting new heating/ac units. I am one of the lucky ones whose ac is going strong!
No a/c here--even in brand new elementary schools.
21 days for me! We get out June 22. It cannot come fast enough!!!!

My classroom record high was last year: 110 degrees. Whew! And no, we didn't let out early.
I like to tease the kids when they say school is like prison. I tell them, "No, because prisoners get air conditioning."
We get out tomorrow after lunch. We go back July 2nd. If I had the whole summer off, I would write and paint like crazy!
Mrs C, do you not have air conditioners because you don't need them?
I went to England in May, once. I couldn't get ice with my fountain drinks anywhere. In a grouchy mood one day, I asked the clerk why didn't they use ice in England? She answered, "Don't need it."
I wish...it's 30C outside today (and almost as warm inside).
Wow, I feel for you all...I am already enjoying my seventh day of vacation-our last was a half day on May 17. We start on August 15th, I think.
Our last day is a half day, too. I think I might actually see kids literally bouncing off of the walls on that day!
NOT SOON ENOUGH!
we started Aug 17 teachers
Aug 21 for students
We start back up Aug 15 teachers
Aug 20 for students
but what are snow days?
BTW it is a cool 90° here now but we hit 100°+ already this year.
Snow days are when kids get up waaaayyyy earlier than usual and wait breathlessly near a radio in the hopes that they will hear the name of their school. If they do hear their school listed, they force their poor, innocent mother to make them biscuits and gravy with sausage, snarf that down, bundle up in all of their clothes, and play outside until juuussst before their tiny phalanges fall completely off from cold. Finally, they come inside, get snow everywhere, force their poor, innocent mother to make them hot cocoa, warm up for maybe a minute and a half, and then begin the bundling process again.
When an ice cube falls on the the parkway, our schools are closed for snow day!
Separate names with a comma.
