My first paid (I guess you can say teacher work day.) professional development day is July 15th. My first day of school is August 16th.
Wow... I finished school an hour and a half ago!!! We always go back for meetings the Tuesday before Labor Day. Then we have 3 days of Frosh orientation. All the kids come in the day after Labor Day for a full day of school.
I think our first teacher day is Aug 16th or 17th this year (I don't have my calendar in front of me). The students will start the next day.
Teachers Aug. 10 Students Aug. 17 we keep starting earlier and earlier... although, I do enjoy my 2 full weeks off for the holidays in December, and the kids will be done on June 1
We have a professional development day on August 30th, we are free to set up our classrooms, etc. anytime during that week. Students begin the day after Labour Day. My last day is next Wednesday....
I am done with this year on August 4th. First day back to work is Aug. 25th and classes begin August 30th. We are transitioning from year-round to 9 month calendar.
Just started vacation on Tuesday 6/22 In-service Days Sept. 1 (full day), Sept 2 (half-day) Students go back (Sept. 7)
My last day of school will be on June 30th. Teacher start date: Aug. 12th Student start date: Aug. 17th

Our last day was June 10th. Teachers go back on Aug. 23 for contract work days (sooner for extra PD) Students go back on Aug. 25
Our in-service day is Aug. 3. Kiddos come to register for 2 hours on Aug. 4. Then we have two work days and the kiddos have their first full day on Aug. 9.
Last day of regular school was May 29. Then summer school started June 1 and goes through June 30. We have two days at the beginning of August for some training. We oficially go back August 16 and school starts on the 23rd. When I think about it the time seems so short.
Yesterday was my last day... The kids will go back the Tuesday after Labour Day, and we will go in a week before Labour day.
School ended 6/2 for kids, 6/4 for teachers. Our meetings will be 8/2 and 8/3. Then we have a few scattered events (work nights, parent meetings) before kids start on 8/17.
First day back (contractually): August 3 Students' first day: August 6 I finished up a class on June 3 (gifted endorsement), did an online PD, and a 2-day in class PD (June 16,17) for ActivBoard advanced training and am trying to figure out where June went. It seems like we just finished yesterday and it's already a month gone. Why do vacations go so fast?
I think teachers go back August 16th and the first student day is August 18th. I think...I'll get a letter in July letting me know the dates if I'm wrong.

Teachers report in our county on July 26th and first student day back is August 2nd. We are on a "balanced" schedule where we get 8 weeks off for summer break and then every eight weeks during the school year we have a week long break added into regular holidays.
