Okay. This may seem redundant but I want to know! I sat here wondering far to long on my own! When do you go back to school? Are you a "when school is in we are in" preschool or do you provide care year around?:thanks:
We are a public school pre-K, so we have the same schedule as the rest of the school. I am on contract August 10, and the kids come August 21.
We go by the public school schedule as well.. with one exception. Our public schools go back August 14 ~ and that begins our inservice w/ open house on Aug 17 ~ and first day Aug 21.
My daughter's nursery school begins a week after Labor Day, when all the local schools start the Wednesday after the holiday.
We are a private, church affiliated pre-school. We start September 11. Our public school district starts August 28. It will be great for me to have a couple of weeks to get my act together since my own kids start earlier than I do!
I teach at a private Christian school. It's Daycare/Students combined. In the summer when actual "school" is out we provide a Summer Program for the students. We are a "year round" facility that takes children from birth thru 12th grade. We are open from 6:30am til 5:30pm. So, I truly have a FULL TIME job!! How I would love to have 2 months off!! lol
I teach public school Pre-K, my contract officially starts August 8th w/K-12 students starting on the 14th and Pre-K starting on the 21st (due to a week of pre-testing). However, we are "unofficially" back on Monday, 7-31 for a week of district trainings
My children go to private school, which starts August 21. My husband teaches there, and he goes back the 15th- I teach at a private church preschool, and we start Sept. 5th- YAHOO! So I go back the 21st and work in my room for two weeks before I start. We are preschool only, MMO thru 5K, half day 9am-12pm, school year only.
