Just curious when everyone else goes back! Teachers report August 18. Students come August 20. I will go in this Friday and next Friday plus Wednesday-Friday of the following week. I can't wait to set up my room!
We go back September 2nd and the students return September 4th. I am starting to prepare for the coming year now so that I don't have to rush later.
First day is September 2nd. Teachers will be in during the week before school starts to set up rooms, but we have no meetings or mandatory days/times.
Teachers go back August 21st... I don't go back until August 26th i'm a Para now so I go back when the kids do
Our official start date for PD is Aug. 14th however we have a mandatory training Aug. 11th. Teachers can get in their classrooms starting on the 4th and I plan on being there.
I start August 25th and my students are in on September 2. I'm not sure if I have to do new teacher orientation also, which would mean I'd be in on the 18th and 19th.
New Teachers: Aug 11th All Teachers: Aug 13th Students: Aug 18th I got all the keys last Friday so I can go work in my classroom any day as long as I don't mind working around them installing a new carpet and painting for a bit.
PD week starts August 4th, teachers report August 11th, and students report August 18th. I'm ready to go back!
I have to go to new teacher orientation on August 4th. Parents and students drop off supplies on the 11th and school starts on the 13th.
Teachers: August 8th Students: August 13th Our first teacher day is a Friday, which everyone was all whiny about, but I think it's great! I'll get through the first day and then it will already be the weekend!
Teachers go back August 11. I have already been over there two days putting together my room. I hope to go over there one more day because it still seems I have a lot to do!
Teachers start back on Aug 11th and students on Aug 13th. I go to new teacher orientation today!!! I just got hired Tues (July 29th) for a 2nd grade position!! I am a first year teacher I can't get into my classroom until sometime next week because 1) they are waxing the floors this week and 2) the teacher who was in the room I am getting is still moving her stuff out. I am freaking out because that leaves me very little time to get my room set up for Open House on Aug 12th!!!! I know I need to go and buy stuff for my room BUT I don't know what I will need until I can get into my room :unsure:
Tigger, is it possible to talk to the old teacher and see if she'd help you figure out some things you may need to get?

I don't know but I hope so!!! I went to new teacher orientation today and one of the other new teachers also got hired for 2nd grade (there are 7 of us) and she told me that all the 2nd grade teachers are meeting on Monday to figure out our lesson planning and other things for the school year. I am hoping that I will get to see my room and ask either the other 2nd grade teachers or the former teacher what I will need

I'm already back and have been almost every weekday since last Wednesday. I've moved to a new school and grade level so am setting up the room from scratch. Officially, new teachers report tomorrow and everyone reports Tuesday. School starts August 11.
