This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions. Old Testament, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

The temperature should hit 117° here today
God, bless A/C inside Terri has it at 74° she pays the Electric Bill

It's 98 here today... It's the lack of rain that's killing us. We've had one day of rain in 6 months. :(

Should be about 103 today. Luckily starting this week my son's football practices have moved from 1:00 pm to 8:00 am.

It got up to 95 on Thursday, but is cooling down with the arrival of a couple small storm systems. Our real problems are on the other side of the spectrum. We're having a cool, wet spring and summer, Bismark has had major flooding issues and Minot experienced a flood of "biblical" proportions (the water went to the roof line of the middle school--just one example of many), and the Red is still several feet above flood stage. We need it to get hot and dry so the river drops down below flood stage before it freezes. If it doesn't, this years floods could me merely be a warm up.

I would rather it be dry if it has to be this hot... I don't think I could handle 117 with 80% humidity....

We're in the mid to upper 80's to mid 90's. The humidity is what kills us. It's sticky and gross all the time. Yuck!

We had nothing but rain all winter/spring, and then it just stopped . . . completely. Now we're really dry.

Today will be the 12th day over 100 for us. With humidity, it usually feels like 105-108. It's so stuffy/hot that it takes your breath away when you first go out in it. God bless my husband (and everyone else), who works outside!

Oregon is hoping for 70+ today. I am not a hot weather person, so I hope the summer stays in the 70s.

The local paper said it was going to be 99 here today. The National Weather Service, however, tells me 89 is likely to be the high - and that feels much more like the case right now, since I'm not prostrated by the heat.

This past week it was a lovely high in the low 80s. This coming week the highs will be 87-90. I'm happiest with highs in the low to mid 80s. I don't even want to think about 117! Around here we'll hit 100 a few times, and frequently the mid 90s, but that's as high as it goes.

At the beginning of June we had about 20 days of 100 degree heat, many of those at 110 or above. It has "cooled" to a 97 or so, and I never thought that you could tell the difference but you can. 97 is way better than 110. We need rain! It's been since last August that rain has fallen on my yard.

I can't even begin to imagine this. It's very rare that we go more than a week without rain.

We're expecting a high of 104 degrees today. I've been keeping the AC set for whatever the temp outside is (as low as 75) until it hits 78 and then the AC just stays there.

I can't even imagine 117 degrees! I get cranky when it hits 90.

We have already had more days of 90 and above than we usually get in the whole summer.

While it is nice and green here, I've had about enough rain.

Amazingly, when the rest of the country seems in a heat wave Fla is just normal. Today I woke up to 66 degrees (very low for July)
but it will get to 95 with very high humidity today, feeling over 100 easily.

Our Highs for month of June were over 90° for the whole month.

We have had 32 days where the high was 100° or more this year so far.

It is only in the upper 80s here for the weekend, which is a little cool for 4th of July, I think. Last year we had an indoor bbq because it was SOOO hot.

Like you said though, the kicker is the humidity. It's 70% here and we have an air quality alert.

The weather man says it is 92 with 40% humidity making it feel like 93. I walked outside and was sweating trying to hang ferns up on the porch. Air set to 66, curled up with a book while hubby watched closing arguments on trial. Even the kids are laid back today. :)

Mid-80's here. It feels very hot, but apparently is nothing compared to some places!! I've been working in the garage on Sprout all day, and it's probably 15 degrees cooler in here. In the winter that is a really bad thing. But right now? Heaven!

We were at the county fair yesterday and I came home all sticky from sweat and sunscreen. I took a shower and it was like I was a new person-I love that feeling! Just enjoyed the evening with the slider open and a cold hard cider. Aaaaah, summer.
