Basically student teaching lol. I'm a newbie if there ever was one. I wish I had time to sub in college but I always had a full course load 4-5 days a week.
I did some fieldwork at my old college and have been teaching art in the summers since 2011.

I interned from August-December 2012 in 6th grade social studies.

I immediately transitioned from my internship to the alternative classroom (only opening) in the same school (6th, 7th, and 8th grade--all subjects).

Next year (2013-14) I'm at the same school in 7th grade social studies.

I've been teaching for 40+ years. Have taught Pre-K to 12th, including Special Ed, Gifted, ESOL, and Regular Ed. Spent 1-7 years at various times. Have also opened my own school and spent some time there.

    No wonder I'm so tired!

    5 weeks of 1st grade

    Teacher's Aide:
    1st year: 4th grade
2nd year: 4 months 1:1 para to a special needs student, 2 months 3rd grade and last 3 months of school Special Ed Sub
    3rd year: Kindergarten
    4th year: 4th grade
    5th year: 2nd grade
    6th year: PK/K split class
    7th year: 1st grade

The years that I worked as a teacher's aide I subbed in almost all classes/grades throughout the school because that school rarely hired subs! That is the main reason why I chose to get certified ONLY in Early Childhood!!!
