Ours is full day, full year Preschool.

    7.00-7.30-entry, greeting
7.30-8.30-table setting, breakfast, clean up teeth
8.30a recess/free play in room depending on needs
    9-1120a-circle, project, games
    11.30 outside time
    12.30 lunch
    1-1.30-free book (nap set up)
    1.30-2 journal time
    2 all stop rest time
3 school kid pick up - with homework and recess
preschoolers are welcome to help by doing their "homework" which would be journal time
4 snack followed by free play
    5 outside.

(edited to read) I should say that due to excellent staffing....nearly all of the outside times should read free choice/outdoor (and we have a classroom outdoors not just a play structure). We are required that all children go outdoors once a day for 30 min...but that is easily taken care of with encouragement or telling them what cool things were just discovered in the garden! Many times we split "in half" and have children outside as well as inside.

Ours is very strict (required "substantial portion of the day" free choice - 2hr 10min for us, 45 min gross motor, no more than 20 min large group/small group, etc). Also both myself and IA get 55 min lunch and 45 min prep. I almost always give up 15 min of lunch to help get children settled into lunch and work on inputting observations during my prep. My IA leaves promptly and does nothing during her prep. She does lunch and nap with children (11:25 - 1:05) and I do afternoon free choice (1:05 - 2:45).

Times include cleanup for free choice and moving to/from gross motor.

8:25 Greeting/Breakfast (small toys for when children finish)
    9:00 Morning Message
9:15 Free Choice & Small Group (3 children each day, first 20min)
10:05 Gross Motor (gym or playground)
11:05 Music & Movement, Read-Aloud, Large Group Activity
    11:25 Lunch
    12:05 Read Aloud
    12:15 Nap
    1:15 Free Choice
2:45 Prepare to go home & Smartboard Activities
    2:55 Dismissal

For 4 year olds in a half day program:

    9-9:10 arrival/unpack/journals
    9:10-9:20 circle
    9:20-9:30 whole group lesson (read aloud/literacy skill/science/math/etc.)
    9:30-9:45 snack
    9:45-10:00 whole group lesson
    10:00-11:00 4 center rotations
    11:00-11:15 whole group lesson
    11:15-11:30 outdoor play/pack up

We use "Big Day for Pre-K" which requires 3 big group activities each day. It's KILLING me to fit them all in with everything else, and I hate it because the kids get rushed through so much stuff (many days I barely even get them outside before it's time to go home) but, it is what it is.

My schedule is similar to the above mentioned ones. I feel like you TG7 about the rushed activities. There is just not enough time for each activity, and the poor children sometimes don't get the 100% activity time that they need. I bet that a lot of teachers feel the same way too, BUT what can you do?
    It is what it is.

I also feel like there are just SO many concepts in our curriculum that I barely scratch the surface of something and then we are moving on. From what I understand from all of our faculty meetings, Common Core standards focus on covering fewer concepts but much more in depth, which is great....except I will still be teaching THIS curriculum!
