What do you consider to be your "passion" in life? Career, family, a cause, a religion, activity, hobby...

I have to say that my passion is my family. I have a special needs son who will never live on his own. I have a daughter who recently graduated and is now looking for a job. In a few days, it will be the 6th anniversary of the day we lost our son, so my thoughts have been with him. My husband lives in another town while waiting on a job transfer and we skype every night. So, each morning I wake up thinking about my family and I go to bed at night thinking about them. Beautiful good thoughts!

I have many different passions in my life. There really isn't one thing that over-rides the rest.

Family first. Though teaching is also a pasion, but if we had to place our passions in order it would be my family.

My passions are: my faith and my papercrafting hobby. :) Cardmaking is my therapy!

You would not know it since I haven't updated my card blog since forever! :p

I wish I had a tighter-knit family. I love (most of) them, but we're just not extremely close.

I think I also have many, but one that hasn't been mentioned yet is travel. It's important to me to see the world. :)

    1. My faith
    2. my family
    3. reading

Knitting, baking, cooking, canning are my hobbies.
I teach passionately, but it is still just my job. I could walk away and not miss it, the way I would my top three.

I feel like some of my passions have fallen to the wayside as I've been prepping for the wedding, but now that that's all over, I'm getting back into them. Favorites include -

    1. Hair (I love trying new products, helping other people with their hair, trying new hairstyles out on myself, learning tips and tricks to help my hair be healthier)

    2. Writing (hoping to someday publish a novel)

    3. Art (photography, arts and crafts, and the kind people draw)

    4. Reading (love almost everything except mystery, horror/gore and crime)

    5. Journaling (I love writing down my thoughts, then coming back days, months and sometimes years later and re-reading them)

Sidebar: Ted, papercrafting sounds cool. Do you know how to bind books? That's something I've always wanted to learn to do. I went on a writing retreat once and we were given a bunch of random items and told to create something. A woman I met created this really cool journal out of seemingly nothing.

    1. My dog (I know that sounds weird but I really adore my dog and would gladly have her around at all times)

    2. Teaching (I don't need the money and my doctor does not want me to even teach part time but I absolutely love it and can't walk away)

A couple people have said history. I love history as well.

Ayone have a cause of charity they're passionate about? Maybe you help organize cancer events and so forth?

I'm not dedicated to a specific cause, but rather "doing good" or "giving back." I've volunteered regularly for many years, and it's something that's very important to me regardless of how busy I am with other things. I'd definitely put it on my list of passions. :)

    !. My faith

    2. My family

    3. Making a difference. I volunteer for the Boys and Girls Clubs, something I absolutely LOVE, but I would consider my passion to be helping people in general. The tiniest little gestures can make such a difference, and I try to implement that concept in everything I do.

My dog is my passion too. People make fun of me when I say I can't go somewhere after work because I have to go home and let her out, but she's my baby-I enjoy spending time with her. ;)

I am very passionate about movies and music (that's where a lot of my money goes unfortunately ). I am trying to rekindle a passion for reading-did pretty well this summer. I've always loved art-I took an Art History class as an elective in college and if I had taken earlier (not my senior year) I would have changed my major.

As far as charities go, I support animal rescue organizations-my pup was a rescue and I think they do really great work.

I agree with that. When we were discussing trying for a baby, I hesitated because I really did not want my dog to be affected. I know people who have given up their dogs and I would be absolutely heartbroken.

Enjoying life to the fullest & just everything I truly love basically:

God, because without Him, nothing is possible
    Parents/family
    Significant other
Dog (was before & when I get another one)
    Traveling
    Good Food
My free time to enjoy whatever I want
This may be superficial, but TV watching & shopping

Regarding my job or grad school, while it's nice to enjoy them, I don't consider them a passion. Work & school are things that I do to help people & earn a living so that I can enjoy some of my passions that cost money.
