I forgot about Secret Circle. Since I don't have cable I don't even really know when shows are cancelled or not. I loved Sean Saves the World. I was hoping it would be coming back. Does anyone know if Super Fun Night is coming back? That is a really ridiculous and stupid show but it makes me laugh and laugh and sometimes I could really use that!
OMG best post ever!! I have replied to everything in green. I STILL want to live in Stars Hollow!!
Too many shows to count! Some of them are: Friday Night Lights, Veronica Mars (although having the movie this year was nice!), Wonderfalls and Arrested Development. Also, going way back I was obsessed with The Secret World of Alex Mack!
Wonderfalls was a good show. Glad the lead actress from that is currently working on Hannibal with the creator of Wonderfalls - Bryan Fuller
Two shows come to mind for me: October Road and Harry's Law. I thought both had great writing (especially Harry's Law). October Road had a 10 min wrap up segment that I found a year after they cancelled it on youtube to close up the main storyline. Harry's Law just got eliminated. I also enjoyed Revolution that they just cancelled.
Everybody Loves Raymond King of Queens Will & Grace Beverly Hills 90210 (original) Thankfully i can watch the first 3 on cable..i love the marathons! BH 90210 use to be on Soapnet but not anymore
I see a difference between series who are no longer on because their story arc has run its course versus those that are cancelled for lack of numbers....have seriously not heard of most of the series mentioned here...but then again I'm more of a sports/news tv viewer.
Yeah, there's a stark difference between those which were cancelled and those which were ended. Everybody Loves Raymond (9 seasons?) was a show that ended. Pushing Daisies (2 seasons) was a show that was cancelled. Fringe (5 seasons) was a show that ended. Suburgatory (3 seasons) was a show that was cancelled. I read an article a few years back where a guy took the last ten years of cancellation/ending data and calculated the odds of a show surviving by season. Here we go, just found it right here (although the predictions it has in the 10th section on shows that would be renewed that season are rather entertaining, due to the accuracy/inaccuracy of some of them)
Ed is my all-time favorite show and it still bums me out that it hasn't been released on DVD. Thank goodness I still have all the episodes on VHS, even if they're slowly being worn out!
