26 for me....3 years in a row. It must be my lucky number!:haha:

We're not given our roster list until Thursday when we officially return, but I sweet talked the secretary to tell me how many to plan for so I can figure out the desk situation. Apparently I don't have to do anything different than last year.

I'm confused. How many kids are in your class or what is your room number? The title made me think room number, but your explanation makes me think class size.

Since the op mentioned roster and desks, I'm thinking it's how many students.

    I have 21.

I have no clue. It was around 27 in June, but with us no longer providing transportation for NCLB kids, we expect enrollment to decrease. If I were to make a prediction, I would say around 24. I am hoping for 20-22 though.

I have around 1,080 this year! It's so strange not having my own class. But the classes in my school range from around 20-32 (of course I was always one of the lucky ones with 32). The upper grades are really high, but enrollment has slowed down a little for younger grades.

I'm a support teacher, so I'll probably see about 100 kids all told during the day.

The K-5 teachers will all be at 32 this year, though.

We are capped at 28 this year. I am not sure of how many I have until I get my list some time this week.

30 in the grade 5/6 class that I'm sharing (I'm teaching Social Studies, all strands of English Literacy, Art and Drama).

We haven't finalized Special Ed caseloads, but I'll probably have 25+ on mine.

15, which I am happy about. However, just a few years ago, I had 21 students. Crazy how things can change over a few years!

I will have 32 second graders. About 12 of those will have IEP's and 3-4 will be ELL.

I got my class list Friday. As I was standing there chatting, the phone rang and a student withdrew from my class! Her family is moving. So I had 22 for 5 min, but now I have 21

Right now, I expect 22, but that number is likely to rise because we are starting school tomorrow (2 weeks earlier than usual), and some new families might not have registered yet.

Our kindergartens were pretty full last year, so I'd say 26.

I'm sure by the time school starts in a week the 18 students will be a little higher, maybe 20, and the 25 will be pushing 30. The 18 is a sped inclusion class (sped numbers not included, but they don't come to my class anyway) and the 26 is a gifted class, so those numbers will stay pretty much the same.

I teach 4 classes and I was told there will be between 24 and 28 in each class. So, I'll have about 100 +/- students.

As of the end of June I had 25. I'm predicting I may end up with less as one or two usually leave over the summer. For some reason in our school new students never seem to come at the beginning of the year, rather in January or February. (Usually from out of the country) I really hope for no more than 24, otherwise we have to sit 5 kids at 1 table, which is tight.

I am fortunate in that, because we are a "professional development school, our class sizes are limited to 20 (we also have tiny classrooms). I currently have 19 on my roll, but only 16 have chosen to show up thus far. Sometimes they wait 2-3 weeks before deciding to send their children to school! We have had as many as 24 before (they won't open a new class for 4 children), but it is rare.
