What's the MOST you're generally willing to pay for the following items that we ladies tend to use on a regular basis? :)

    jeans
    handbag
    sunglasses
    nice good work shoes

Here's what I say. Now, this doesn't mean I'll never ever pay more someday!

    jeans - $60 - $75 I think that's good enough.
handbag - $200 If it's really, really unique, we'll see.
sunglasses - $200, but I probably wouldn't have more than 3-4 pairs at that price
    shoes - $100

I'm the type who seeks out good quality things on sale, so I plan to rarely pay full price.

jeans: I hate jeans. They never fit me right.. I usually won't spend more than $35
    handbag: $10-$25
sunglasses: I've had my sunglasses for 4 years now. They were $400 (Dior). They are polarized and prescription. I don't know what I'll do if my prescription changes…
    shoes: No more than $75.

Jeans: I try to get them at clothing swaps or thrift stores-I like them broken in. New? Maybe $30 on clearance.
Purse: $20. I prefer Kate Spade knock offs. :)
Sunglasses: My pair of Smith were $60 and they have lasted me 4 years. I found my Ray Bans in an In and Out bathroom, although they seem to be misplaced at the moment.
    Shoes: $50

jeans- My jeans are for working on my ranch so no more than thirty. Barbed wire makes holes in interesting places.

handbag- It depends. I've spent as little as forty but no more than two hundred fifty.

    Sunglasses- max $15

Shoes- $175 max...but they had better be comfortable!

    Jeans: $50-60
    Purse: $200-250
Sunglasses: $15 at the most - I always lose them and scratch them up.
Shoes: $150 - but they last for years. I just have to resole the heels every 3-4 years.

jeans - $50 I wear them so rarely it doesn't seem worth it.
handbag - $45 I get them all at outlets or at Ross, but I have quite a collection of Nine West
sunglasses - $5 They last approximately one wear for me, so why pay more?
nice good work shoes - $300 I will spend on some shoes that are cute and don't hurt my feet!

I do most of my shopping at outlets, Ross, or with coupons, and I almost never pay full price for anything. If I can't find it on sale, I don't get it unless I really, really want it. I do indulge with bath products. I use almost all LUSH products and and some of them are expensive, but worth the money!

    Jeans--$50
Handbag--usually $50, but I treated myself to a Coach purse just after Christmas ($149 at the outlet)
Sunglasses--found a great pair that fit over my glasses and are dark enough that you can't tell. I paid $75, but can't imagine spending more than that
    Shoes--more than $50 hurts, but I'll go to $75

Jeans--$40 is the most I'll spend, but I really like to keep them under $25.

Handbag--I think I've spent up to $40 in the past, but the last few years I try for under $25 and I try to use them until they fall apart or look junky which is usually about a year and a half to two years.

Sunglasses--I can't remember ever spending more than $20 for sunglasses and usually I'll only replace them every three or four years.

Good work shoes--I just bought some Shape-Ups (with tax it came to under $45) that I got a really deal on for my job at a grocery store, even though my company will give me shoes every year or reduced cost shoes more frequently than that. But I would definitely spend up to $100 for good work shoes.

Wow, I guess I'm cheap! lol

Jeans - $40-$50 (but usually more like $20)
Handbag - $50 (again, usually more like $20)
Sunglasses - $200 (I have to have prescription sunglasses and this time I splurged on Oakleys - LOVE them!)
Work shoes - $100 (but I don't think I own any that actually cost that much)

jeans - $60 (usually with a great deal for a second pair, like free)
    handbag - $50
sunglasses - $20 (I always break them or lose them)
nice good work shoes -$120 (before last year it was about $50)

Wow, what a range of replies.
I guess I am one of the cheap ones too.

jeans - My big splurge is Cruel Girl jeans. They are about $60, but most of my jeans have come from Goodwill. I have gotten several pair on the clearance rack at Kohls for $8.00.
handbag - I usually won't pay more than $30 for a handbag. DH bought me a really nice CCW handbag that has a built in holster and paid around $100 for it. I also choked on that one.
sunglasses - I usually pick them up at Walmart for $10-15. They get knocked off by goats and horses, worn by kids, lost by me.
nice good work shoes - I have two pair of high heeled dress boots that I wear to school almost every day (brown and black) that were about $45. My western boots that I wear at home run around $149 or so.

Jeans - $100, but I'd pay a little more if they were absolutely awesome.
Handbag - $150, but if I am buying "trendy" $50
Sunglasses - $20 - I lose them and break them regularly
Shoes - $150 is the high end, very happy with sales that put them in the $60-80 range

    Jeans--$25-40
    Handbag $25-40
    Sunglasses--no more than $10...I lose a pair a week
Shoes--My boots are a big part of who I am...I spend my weekends at livestock shows, so a good pair of boots are very important. And I wear them to school with dress jeans. My favorite pair cost around $150, but I am willing to go up to $200

To be fair, this may change when I'm making more than a grad student stipend.

Jeans--$30 (most of my jeans I purchased on clearance for $5-10)

Handbag--$30 (I tend to receive handbags as gifts, so I rarely purchase them myself)

Sunglasses--$10 (I WILL either break them or lose them, so I stick to cheapies)

High-quality work shoes--$100 (I have foot problems and I can't wear a lot of shoes, so I usually invest in Clarks or other durable brands--I find great deals at outlet stores, though)

Jeans...I feel bad saying it, but I have paid up to $115 for a pair of jeans. I have four pair and I paid about that for each pair, but they are awesome and they fit! I need extra longs though too and those are hard to come by.
    Handbag - $30
Sunglasses - prescription, as long as the frames are within a certain range they are covered 100% after my co-pay, $35.
Work Shoes - I have 8 pairs of shoes and I don't think I've paid more than $40 for each. I do buy them on sale or at outlets though, so I don't know what they normally are.

I'm REALLY, REALLY cheap when I buy things for me.

I'll pay $9 for jeans at Walmart
$10 for a handbag on Ebay
More money for sunglasses because because I get them prescription
    Maybe $20 for shoes

Again...did I say that I'm REALLY, REALLY cheap???

Add me to the list of really cheap ones. I am the queen of good deals, and have a really hard time buying anything that isn't majorly on clearance. (Although, I'm starting to invest in some good quality pieces.)

$15-$20 for jeans is about my max.
I buy my purses on clearance at Kohl's for under $20.
Sunglasses are $5 ones from Target or Wal-Mart.
I have started splurging on good shoes, and that means about $50.

swansong-you are not cheap! I almost fell out of my seat when I saw what some people will spend on a purse!
    jeans-$50
purse $65(with a coupon)-and the only designer I buy is Vera Bradley since I can wash her purses! : )
sunglasses-$5-20 dollars (my KD's are fantastic for $5!)
good work shoes-have yet to find them. I will spend up to $120 on them though-if they work!

    - Jeans - My wife buys all my jeans. They are normally Levi's. Don't know what they cost.

    - Handbag - Don't have one but on occasion I wear a fanny pack to conceal a .40 caliber Glock. The fanny packs are about $70. (There are better ways to conceal a handgun)

    - Sunglasses - Relatively inexpense ones. I lose a pair every couple of weeks. I tend to misplace lots of stuff.

    - Shoes - I spend an insane amount of money on shoes. Shoes (dress, casual, hiking boots, cowboy boots, whatever) are one of my weaknesses......:p

Jeans--I don't wear them very much, and they rarely fit me correctly anyway. I doubt I've paid more than $30 for a pair. The ones I wore to the ballgame tonight were $9 on clearance at Wal-Mart . . . and they fit better than most I've owned.

Handbag--Most of mine are in the $50 range, but I've paid up to $150. I like handbags, and I like sturdy ones, too. I like classic styles that will last a long time.

Sunglasses--I like different styles, so I won't pay much for any of them. I'd say $10 tops.

Shoes--Unfortunately, I have problem feet, so I have to pay more to find shoes that fit. Most of my work shoes are around $75 a pair. I never pay full price for anything, so I shop for deals.

Jeans..I have paid $75 for a pair...but usually I find Seven brand or other name jeans that usually cost more for much less at Annie Sez

Purse...I tend to not spend much on handbags. My salon/spa carries Big Buddha bags at good prices and puts them on sale at end of season

    Sunglasses...about $100. I hate cheap sunglasses.

Shoes....really? I have a major shoe obsession, but I buy most on sale.
