I mean, wow.
$49,240.70-$83,703.72 (Credential), $48,533.30-$50,246.72 (Alt. Credential)

Maybe that is the pay rate for the year you are teaching and getting your credential? We have a separate pay scale for intern teachers, even though they are teachers of record. It is a lot lower than the regular scale. They move to the bottom of the regular scale once they receive their credential.
That would be a strange way to put it. Everybody in California has to do a one or two year induction program, alternate credential or otherwise. Everybody starts out with a preliminary credential and, once the induction is done, the credential is "cleared". I would have said "preliminary" rather than "alt", if that was the discriminator.
I don't think I was clear, and also I am just guessing. I wondered if that was the pay for while you are in the alternate credential program, so not actually credentialed yet. My district does put people in their own classroom as interns, they are going through alt credentialing, but are not done yet. So interns do not have any credential at all yet. They have their own pay scale, and it is pretty low, maybe 2/3 of our starting credential salary.
I haven't heard of different pay scales for clear vs preliminary, although that might be what this is.

I don't know either. Could be, I guess.
This is a charter school. So rules are flexible.
