I guess the first thread got too large and went somewhere else so I'll start a new one while my dinner is in the oven.

We're having turkey sausage strombolies (they're pretty low-fat too :)) from Trader Joe's. I've never had them before so I have no idea what to expect!

It is fun that they have new foods to try.

I couldn't wait and already had the soy cherry chocolate "ice cream". That is very good! :)

Update: I did not like the strombolies. No offense is someone else likes them! It's like spaghettti without the pasta stuffed in bread. Not my thing.

Marinated strip steaks that were grilled
Mixed grilled vegetables ( they turned out awesome as I used a new
    recipe)
    Homemade potato salad
    Garlic bread
Angel food cake with fresh strawberries and whip cream

I had chocolate - but only because I had a late lunch (3:00) out at a ribs place. I had baby back ribs, coleslaw, fries..... a totally delicious meal.

Dh cooked-so nice! Chicken legs baked in a marina sauce concotion, later put over Star of David pasta leftover from the holiday season. ;) The chicken legs had weird blood in them, though, so we didn't eat them. I really need something sweet now.

DH cooked here, too! Love it :) Jumbo artichoke with fettuccine & marinara. Monkey bread for dessert.

Jem, I cannot eat meat on a bone because of the veins, etc. Boneless can sometimes have the weird blood things, too, which is a show-stopper for me. I think I should be a vegetarian.

I Think I would just like a good old tuna sandwich, sweet potato fries and some frozen veg tonight. That meal really developed around the sweet potato fries, which are soo much better than real fries IMHO.

I saw a guy on Queer Eye one time that could not eat meat that looked like meat. So he would eat chicken nuggets and hot dogs and lunch meat, but he could not eat a chicken breast or steak or anything like that.

I never buy chicken on the bone either. YUCK! I have heard though that if you buy chicken or other meat marked "KOSHER" that there is much less of the blood and veins and stuff. They are a little pickier about their meat and how they sell it. It might be worth a try.

I have no idea what is for dinner. I am on a D-I-E-T!

I have to use some of the leftovers from the fridge. I think I'll saute some onions, peppers, and mushrooms, add some leftover steak and serve with some rice and salad.

I think I am making a pizza tonight (making= getting it out of the freezer & putting it in the oven). Dh is asleep (since who knows when- he was asleep when I got home at 4), so when he wakes up he will make the final decision.
