What's for dinner?

We had mozzarella, tomatoes, & fresh basil salad with balsamic dressing, DH smoked a hen, had cajun boiled potatoes and corn, and a commercially made key-lime pie. I just can't make a key lime pie better than I can buy. DD and her DH had dinner with us too that made it special.

Tonight we'll have left overs.

I kind of hate to admit it, but I eat takeout almost every day of the week. On weekdays, I bring home food on the way home from work & on weekends, I usually eat from somewhere on usually one of the weekend days.

Today, it will be from some other restaraunt I'm sure.

I don't know when the last time I've made a home cooked meal.

Ms. I, when I work, I eat lunch out each day. I had to get away from work, and it was my down time. We eat a lot of soup and sandwiches as it is so cold here. I grill lots of combos, so it gets interesting. Our favorite grilled sandwich is a ruebin with Catalina dressing instead of 1000 Island. It gives it a sweet and sour flavor.

Tonight was my leftover pasta with "I can't believe it's not butter" and nacho popcorn flavoring on top. We only eat real food when my hubby cooks. Well, once in a while i will make real food, but not often!

had some sushi today.... yummy!

I feel like I'm cooking the same things over and over for dinner. I don't know if it's my fault for asking my hubby what he wants. He always wants the same thing! This week we had potroast, turkey chili, pasta and tonight lemon chicken. I have to break him out of this rut! How do you get picky eaters to try new things?

I am making shrimp and rice. I would love to make a pot roast but def too much for one person!

I got takeout, a dish called Pasta Milano from Macaroni Grill. One of their locations closeby closed up a few mos ago & there's another location in a city about 20-30 min away. I picked it up on my way home. Mmmm!

Ms. I - I LOVE Macaroni Grill!! But, I think that most of them have closed up around here.

We had take-out Chinese tonight. I had a headache (which I almost never get) and didn't feel like cooking.

TeacherNY, sounds good! I love Round Table's Chicken & Garlic gourmet!

You're killing me!!!!! We don't have Round Table either!! The only chain pizza places are Dominos and Pizza Hut which STINK! We have tons of local pizza shops though and they are very good.

Numero Uno is also really good! There was one in my location, then it closed & there wasn't any for almost a decade, then another finally opened locally again, thank goodness!

Outback Take Away for me (Wahalla pasta)! Dh is in LA on a business trip, and I've been out driving around since 6am this morning (I got home at 6:30pm). I have 10 bookshelves to assemble tonight, so it's my treat before the real work begins.

I found out tonight that our Outback is doing an all-you-can-eat past dinner with soup and salad, Sun.-Thurs. I wish I had known, as it's only eat-in. But I'm totally going back next week to pig OUT on Wahalla pasta!!!!

Oh, I am craving some good pizza. Like from Round Table, not those make believe ones from Dominos or Pizza Hut. I live in a big city, so there are lots to choose from, not all are close though. And I am starting Weight Watchers tomorrow--really. They have meetings all day long, so even if I sleep till noon, there is a meeting.

Grilled steak Toscano (my version of Olive Garden's steak), grilled asparagus with teriyaki sauce, caesar salad, and garlic bread. We're celebrating our new BBQ grill! Tonight is Coriander-Orange grilled chicken, paprika rice, and a salad.

Ranchwife--I want to come to your house for dinner!

We're having leftover pork roast, pasta and salad--have to be out the door before 6:00 for a basketball game.

Thanks! The grilled Tuscan steak is very simple:
Rub both sides of the steak with extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle both sides with garlic powder, salt, pepper and the secret ingredient - Italian seasoning. Don't skimp on the Italian seasoning. Let steaks sit on counter for 20-30 minutes, and then grill till desired tenderness. You can make this extra special and serve with a Balsamic vinegar reduction (about 1 cup balsamic vinegar boiled till half remains) and blue cheese.
Steak cooked this way takes about 2 minutes prep, and about 10-15 minutes to cook.

I want to go to the movies so maybe we will grab something beforehand. I am in the mood for Mexican

We are going to O'Charley's for one of the roomies b-day's . I just baked a devils food cake for dessert- Yummy!

We had soft tacos made with ground turkey. Boughten cookies and grapes for dessert. That grilled steak sounds so good, I think I will have to get the BBQ out tomorrow. I have one of those grill pans that I grill veggies in. I love it. I put chunks of potatoes in first as they take a while to cook, then mushrooms and zuchhini. (I season them with olive oil and pepper.)

Just made mushroom/barley soup and cream of mushroom soup. Family will have a choice. They'll also choose between homemade chicken salad or a tuna melt. Going casual tonight.

Just making some meatloaf tonight with rice pilaf and salad. Last night I made this chicken and pasta dish with a white wine sauce that took WAY too long to make. Good thing it was not a weeknight!

It's my last night of February break- back to work tomorrow. I'm making bucatini carbonara, garlic bread, Caesar salad, chocolate-ginger brownies. :p

I went to a baby shower this afternoon and it was like dinner. Right now I am not hungry, maybe something light later if I am hungry

Tonight is leftover homemade falafels and tzatiki and some curried squash and corn casserole. Trying to decide what I want the rest of the week.

oh czacza that sounds so good!

sick - so soup for dinner or if I feel up to it maybe a turkey burger

Feel better- soup is best when you are sick!! I was going to make my dinner last night but I'd been fighting a migraine for 3 days and by dinner couldn't stand any longer...so we had white pizza and then I went to bed. Yum...Better now so I'm making the fab dinner.

OHH you just reminded me of some stuff to put on my grocery list!! My hubby has been asking me to make falafels at least once every other week! Now I know enough to keep the stuff on hand!! How do you make your falafels??
