As soon as I can get up off the sofa, I will make breakfast for dinner. We will have sausage, bacon, hash browns, and eggs. My DH is English, so we will have baked beans with it. I have been trying to make a spice cake for a couple of days, so will make it tonight.
I love chicken pot pie! I had a snow day today so I'm making teriyaki glazed pork tenderloin, grilled zucchini in a balsamic marinade, baked sweets and a salad. I hope I don't lose another day tomorrow. They are calling for 3 to 6 inches starting in the early morning.
Yummy! Tonight is pizza since I've run out of stuff to cook. Haven't been able to get out of the house to go to the store because of the ice.
I'm making veggie soup since it's cold and snowy. I usually like making a huge pot so we have it for a few days. We also have some leftovers we can nibble on.
Chinese food delivery tonight....I had tutoring and a shiva after school. Dh set up tree and outside lights after work...nice coming home to a snow covered yard lit up with Christmas lights....
Leftover chili! We are on our 5th snow day...7 days stuck in the house we are running out of essentials and the roads are icy!
Pasta with a choice of pesto or chili. Tomorrow night is wedding anniversary dinner out at local chi chi restaurant...
I just had some rice. Our principal grilled ribeye steaks for us today for lunch, so I had a huge lunch.
How nice, Ima! I'm having a can of soup tonight...I'm not really hungry, and I don't feel like cooking.
Lucky Charms. I'm feeling under the weather, so I don't feel like cooking or eating anything substantial.
Tonight will be pizza and salad at school provided by our administration. A huge group of us are staying for a few hours after school to work on a special project.
I'm marinading some chicken in 2 marinades: #1 - recipe I saw on Sandwich King bit of all spice smoked paprika cumin hot chili powder garlic olive oil #2 - my simple creation garlic garlic pepper seasoning onion powder olive oil lemon juice By the way it smells, I'm liking mine better!
I made a coconut lime chicken from Martha Stewart a few nights ago (comes up on Google if you're interested). It was amazing. I changed it a bit by using boneless chicken breasts, pounded to about 1/2 inch. I marinated for about 4 hours. I served it with white rice cooked with a blend of water and coconut milk, tossed with red beans (after the rice was cooked). Drain and rinse the beans before adding to the rice.
Just bookmarked that, Special-t--it sounds amazing! We just had left-overs tonight; need to do that another couple of times in the next few days.
