I haven't had cinnamon ice cream in YEARS!!! We're still without a kitchen, so we'll see what we come up with for dinner.
Tonight is Meet the Teacher night and the administration is providing dinner for us beforehand. Not sure what we're having, but, since I don't have to cook it, it will be fabulous!
I LOVE when school supplies dinner. It's always so much nicer than anything I would ever make, particularly on a school night. Enjoy, Mrs. C.!
Our PtO feeds us on conference nights, and while I appreciate their intentions, I usually pack a PBJ, instead of eating frozen lasagna.
Our local ice cream shop is making it. They usually make cinnamon apple, but last we think apples were so high in price that they just went to cinnamon!!! They have pumpkin as well!!! They make ice cream's seasonally...like blueberry marble when it's blueberry season.
Dinner was pizza (from one of the small, local places), garlic breadsticks, Greek salad, garden salad and cookies. Simple, but delicious!
I just made a great pizza for dinner. I just put it together. A purchased crust, some Prego, cheese and pepperoni. I think it was so good because I loaded it with cheese.
We went out to dinner last night with my sister and brother in law. The restaurant was celebrating Octoberfest. So I had: 2 glasses of Reisling. potato pancake appetizer Waldorf Salad Wieiner Schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzel (sp???) Apple Crisp and Tea. And it was all delicious!!!
We went to dinner at a local brewery and restaurant that specializes in local, seasonal ingredients. I had a grilled chicken wrap and a bowl of the most delicious butternut squash bisque. Then we visited a famous frozen custard stand. My hot fudge sundae with tart cherries was amazing!
Homemade broccoli and mushroom quiche, homemade pumpkin soup, garden salad, and for dessert apple crisp from apples we picked yesterday.
I didn't feel like having the pork chops i made for my hubby so I just had a bag of that new Dole Chopped salad. It was good!
Lucybell, can you share your recipe for Pad Thai? I can't seem to get the spices just right, and I love Pad Thai. We had homemade potato soup and pocket bread sandwiches.
We made a ham last weekend so we could freeze the diced ham to make potato soup!!! Looks like cold weather for us this week...the *S* word is forecasted!
That's Lauren's favourite, Alice! For us tonight, pork loin chops stuffed with spinach and provolone, roasted potatoes and broccoli.
The weather is still nice so we are bbqing spinach and feta chicken sausages or burgers and some veggies.
