I also had a cheeseburger today (for lunch) another favorite of mine!!! Dinner tonight was at my mom's house. We had her delicious rice, broccoli & cheese casserole with chicken, corn on the cob and a veggie salad.
Me too (well on vacation until summer school) but I was so excited that I told the lady at the wine store all about it LOL
SubCT, I like quiches. Every once in a while, I'll eat a Mediterranean one from Bristol Farms. It's good. I had cheese enchiladas, rice, & refried beans this evening. I'm going to try to go the whole month of July w/o eating meat, in fact, I started today.
Hubby made steaks over bon fire, little roasted potatoes in oven & homemade from scratch crust & all cheesecake!!!! I squished the strawberries we put on top!
Homemade salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and green beans! The weather is cool in my neck of the woods, and some comfort food is needed right about now.
Ms. I............i know a few people who do ''Meatless Mondays'' at work I think its good you are doing that. I have tried it before...be careful not to fall into the ''eating ONLY carbs trap'' I put on some weight doing that!!!! Dinner tonight was.....Italian sausage, egg noodles & broccoli.
It was a soup and sandwich night. BLT's, homemade corn chowder, pasta salad, and since blueberries are now readily available a blueberry pie.
We have meatless dinners but I try to increase the veggies and stay low on the carbs. I knew a vegetarian who ate pasta every day and she was terribly unhealthy.
Feta vinaigrette orzo salad with spinach, sundried tomatoes and kalamata olives. Just made and put in fridge for later. Headed out for a power walk and 2 hours of tutoring later
Sounds delicious, czacza! Chicken breasts with mushrooms and baby potatoes with fresh herbs from my deck (basil, oregano, sage and thyme).
I got some roasted garlic infused rice vinegar! Tonight, it's probably a chive, grape tomato, radish, chia seed, & cucumber salad!
We made a nice, all-local meal for our anniversary on Sunday: -fresh steaks from the meat locker with caramelized onions -corn on the cob -new potatoes -grilled zucchini (we marinate in olive oil and balsamic vinegar) DH had to leave for a work trip Monday morning, so I've been eating the leftovers...
Chicken Yok ~ inspired by a former co-worker who posted hers on FB but won't part with the family recipe.
I've never heard of that! Is that from the Yok family? LOL I hate w hen people post food on facebook and don't give the recipes. It's sucha tease.
LOL!!! Not sure... but I think I will make a yogurt strawberry cake to use up the rest of our strawberries....
We usually make a weekly dinner menu and my husband picks most of the dinners he wants me to make. If it were up to me I'd make reservations!!!
Ya'll are making me hungry! I have NO idea what is for dinner. If I have chicken thawed out I'll probably make Clean Spicy BBQ Baked "fried" chicken... and some veggie.
I saw a few cool, summer recipes I want to make soon from people I watch on YouTube: - avocado egg sandwich - chicken salad (sandwich) w/ dried cranberries - egg, spinach, tomato, onion "muffins", but involves no bread
I have Fridays off from Summer School so I slept in this morning, can't believe how tiring the first week was!!!!! So, anyway...looks like I am having a very late lunch; toasted ham & cheese on a sesame seed roll with baby dill pickles and some pineapple slices. Dinner will be------------not sure yet
We had a very late lunch at the local deli, so dinner will probably be cereal or scrambled eggs. But I did a lot of cooking today for tomorrow's potluck with friends.
Broke my no-meat rule tonight & got a steak w/ grilled onions & mushrooms topping plus sauteed brocoli, baked potato & grilled shrimp.
Burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, and homemade fresh churned vanilla ice cream! Family cookouts 2 days in a row.
