Chilly here as well. I had some egg drop soup for lunch and will roast a chicken for dinner. I got some cranberries also to make homemade cranberry sauce! I love it with chicken or turkey.

I did a single-serving trial run of butternut squash and mushroom lasangna last night (with spinach/rice sheets instead of regular pasta sheets), and it was a huge success, so tonight I'll be making the whole lasagna. :)

I don't say this often enough, but I love this thread-I come here every time I can't think of something for dinner.

I was supposed to put in a roast this morning, but I forgot, so I think we'll have beef stroganoff instead. I make mine the easy way, just beef, mushrooms, onions, and stir in some wine, broth and sour cream. I like mine over couscous instead of noodles.

    Now I'm starving!

Oh my, that fudge sounds heavenly. I'm hesitant to ask for the recipe, because I'll be tempted to eat the whole thing, but can you share the recipe (Christmas gift giving season is coming!)?

Tonight we're having turkey/vegetable soup with a couple of types of fresh bakery bread. My husband doesn't necessarily believe that soup is dinner food, but he'll eat what I make.

Ha! Well whaddyaknow...it's from Cookin Canuck!

    •Butter, for greasing pan
•1 (14 oz. ) can sweetened condensed milk
    •1 tsp vanilla extract
•8 oz. high-quality bittersweet (60% cacao) chocolate chips
    •1 cup Nutella, room temperature
•3 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    •1/2 tsp (approximately) sea salt

I only had semi-sweet chips, and kosher salt, and both worked perfectly.

Melt all together (except salt) in a double-boiler (could probably even use the microwave too), spread in 8x8 pan lined with parchment (grease under and over the parchment), and sprinkle with salt. Refrigerate until firm.
