Making vegetarian burritos tonight.
I'm totally in the mood for burritos tonight. What time should I be over YoungTeacherGuy?? I can bring some of my homemade salsa!
Yummm love Mexican food
I'm making pizza tonight...with a salad!
Ok, now I want pizza. You guys are killing me Actually, my hubby is getting home from work late so I can totally stop for pizza before coming home and making something quick for him
Don't know what's for dinner picked blueberries & raspberries...just made some raspberry jam!!!!
I just planted some blackberry bushes in the spring. I'm sure it will take a few years to get a good harvest but I can't wait to make some blackberry jam! We just started experimenting with canning so I want to try all sorts of things.
Cool NY... sadly blueberry season is almost done!!!!
It's my turn to attend the monthly board meeting at school tonight, so I brought the leftovers with me and left DH to fend for himself...
Walked over 8 miles following golfers at the Barclays today...homemade crab cake for me, big beefy burger for dh...and onion rings! Yum! Watching the tourney now on TV and saw us in the background when one player was teeing up!:thumb: I'm stretching out every last day of summer!:thumb:

Having spaghetti & meatballs for dinner and home made Italian ice for dessert
NY - my sister says she is going to try and make wine from their blackberries (upstate NY).
We were out of almost everything and too lazy to go get dinner. So, I had frozen butterfly shrimp in the freezer, as well as stuffed scallops. I made rice and a veggie and it was all very good, to my surprise.
Sub my favorite desserts my hubby makes after his Italian meals.... mousse....yummy!!!
Ohhh, that sounds yummy! I love fruit wines. A friend of mine made blueberry and dandelion wine. I have always wanted to try to make some!
Tonight I'm making Greek chicken burgers with tzatziki sauce, green beans and some stuffed grape leaves for an appetizer.
Snacks from the grocery store in my hotel room--veggies and garlic hummus, steak strips and cheese cubes. It's my daughter's season opener soccer game tonight, and they are having food afterwards but I need something to tide me over!
Homemade pizza and roasted garlic cauliflower
Yeah I usually low-carb it but sometimes I just get that craving so yess, I do enjoy my Italian pasta and bread. Tomorrow i'll be back to my fish or chicken and probably a big Cesar salad! LOVE IT!
A few of us mentioned making zucchini noodles. I have been making them on Sundays with my homemade tomato sauce and meatballs. We try to eat low carb as much as possible so we have been making this instead of pasta which we used to have at least twice a week!
Today, it's turkey burgers with a jalapeno seasoning and monterey jack cheese & an organic grape tomato salad w/ zesty Italian dressing & seasonings.
Speaking of zucchini noodles, I want to make this recipe:
Yes! I think I will be trying that...thanks
Grilled cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted green beans, corn on the cob, tomatoes.

Probably Chipotle chicken salad...at least that's what my mom said she's bringing home for us on her way home from church.
State Fair tonight, so I'm thinking something on a stick! We'll do plenty of walking so it might even be fried!
Pasta bar at my house tonight...both sons, DIL and dh will be here....I'm making Pasta melanzane e mozzarella (eggplant and mozzarella) and a creamy garlic pesto spaghetti...garlc bread, salad, vino, chicken cutlets...
Have fun. My county fair is all next month (Sept), so I'll be going 2 or 3 times for sure! There's a great pizza vendor there that actually brings a big pizza oven! Mmmm! Last year, the popular thing in food used to be lobster mac & cheese.
STILL trying to use up all the tomatoes in my garden. I have one pot of sauce in the freezer and another on the stove as we speak. Going to make some more zucchini noodles and meatballs to go with the sauce. I also have enough tomatoes to make 2 more batches of sauce but I'll probably freeze those too since I'm really getting tired of tomatoes LOL
This morning in The Kitchen on Food Network, it was all about tomatoes. They had some fun recipes!
Sounds delicious! What a great idea
Thai-style catfish with homemade chile-lime sauce, jasmine rice, and roasted zucchini.
We all have different dietary preferences so it's always a bit of a mash up melange, but always delicious!
Too much good food today...church picnic after the service this morning, then an open house for a baptism, and a fish fry fundraiser for a local school this evening.
Hubby made turkey, green/yellow beans (from farmer's cart) sweet corns ( from farmer's cart & mashed potatoes!!! YUMMY!!!
Pizza and wine.
I have cramps today
So, I didn't feel like cooking..i made a toasted ham & cheese sandwich on a grinder roll w/baby dill pickles on the side!!
Fresh strawberries for dessert.
My mom ended up bringing home Boston Market's turkey slices, creamed spinach, & corn muffins.

Shrimp pesto pasta! I have a choice of pastas I could use: Farfalloni, Spugnole, shells, or Paccheri (probably not the last). I also have a choice of pestos to use: Sundried tomato, habanero, or regular pesto perfecto.
I would like to try all of your pestos, Ms. I!! We don't eat pasta but that sounds really good.
I'm making garlic and herb boneless pork chops (i hate meat with bones). It's one of the freezer meals I have so all I have to do is defrost it and throw it in the oven. I have some broccolini to go with it.
TeacherNY, yours sounds good too! These aren't pestos made from scratch this time, but they're the next best thing: From the huge FM (farmer's market) that I like going to! These need to be refrigerated.
I might be going to the Food and Wine fest in a few weeks and I think they will be selling different types of pesto. I'll see if I can find an interesting one.
