Big shopping at Big Lots. There's a 20% off everything deal this weekend. Shop at Trader Joe's, otherwise, I'll go this week. Probably get some sushi.
I dropped my neighbor off at jail, went to the gym, met a friend for thrift store shopping, and went to Mom's house. Now I'm doing laundry. I went to the grocery yesterday, so I'm ready for the winter storm that's coming.
Laundry Grocery store and dry cleaners Reading Some work on my latest oil painting Making Mediterranean dinner with dh: Israeli salad, falafel, homemade hummus, pita chips, feta cheese. we'll eat in front of fireplace Looking forward to an evening of Bananagrams and Redbox movies...snuggling in Snow coming tomorrow...
Ima, what did your neighbor do to bother you so much that you dropped them at jail? I ran grocery store errands this morning then listened to the rain all day and discovered MANY leaks in our home. sigh. can't complain too much. We need the rain desperately.
Laundry and cleaning this morning, followed by wedding errands. We figured out how we're going to make my wedding band out of my fiance's grandma's. (It was way too wide--with my engagement ring on, I couldn't bend my finger!) Then we drove over an hour to pick out suits for the guys for the wedding. Ran a few other errands, got home, and found out that the salesman neglected to tell us that one was a slim fit suit (and he told us it would fit a wide range of guys, including bigger ones? )
- Working a bit this morning - Laundry - Watch TV - Maybe go to the gym or just get out of the house to do something - Talking to BF throughout day while he's visiting w/ his brother - Have leftover Chinese for dinner
Woke up early so dh and I watched a movie with breakfast in bed (Catching Fire) The roads are clear of snow so we went for a run...so happy to run again! Headed to Home Depot soon for some home improvement 'reconnaissance' Making a healthy, non-meat dinner tonight Love my honey hubby time on Saturdays!
My wonderful coworkers threw me a wedding shower this morning! Now I'm at school trying to catch up after Monday was yet another snow day last week and then I was home sick on Tuesday.
Went to the farmer's market this morning. Then went swimming. Staying in the rest of the day in the house with my esposo, since I'm forcing him to not go out until Monday. (Had LASIK on Thursday). We'll probably go buy Dallas Buyers Club to watch tonight, I've been wanting to see it!
I had a great morning. I went for a hike and found some tadpoles which we will raise in class. I then went to the local junior college nursery and bought some milkweed. Some of the plants already had monarch caterpillars on them, so we have that life cycle to observe. One of the class moms brought me old tires she painted on Friday which we are turning into a garden which we will plant on Monday. Back home trying to decide if I have enough energy left to garden. Last week's storm made a real mess. It is a beautiful day and feels like spring.
This is my last weekend in Hawaii. I'm going to go around the island today and take some pictures (I lost most of mine last year). Then I want to go by the Motherhood Maternity Outlet because I saw a coat on sale last time I was there. It's cold enough back home that I think I'll need one!
Saturday afternoons are sacred to me. I have a lineup of NPR programs I enjoy, but I turn off the world when The Moth is on. It was an especially good show today! I should have taken it with me for a run, but all of my running bras and most of my tights were in the dryer during the show. Had an early dinner with Rockhubby. Tonight we're supposed to do karaoke with friends at a dive bar around the corner from us. I love to sing and he has perfect pitch, so it should be fun.
I went to a Pink Zebra party and a Tastefully Simple party with friends. We went to dinner afterward, then we ended up at a bar to watch a band we like. Since I wasn't driving, I decided to have a drink . . . which turned into four. That made me decide that hitting on the lead singer was a good idea. We got home after 1:00 in the morning, and with the time change, time is really flying by. I hope I don't feel like death in the morning. I'm pretty sure I'm too old for all this.
The weather here in CA has been beautiful, hasn't it? Here in the Central Valley, though, we're in desperate need of rain.
Where I am in CA, it rained a good amount last week...at least I think it was last week. Time goes so fast!
So how's it going this Saturday? Last Saturday I went out with friends, but this Saturday I had to stay in. Too many things to do around the house for fun this weekend. I started out at the gym this morning, but it's so pretty outside that I ended up deciding to go for a walk. I took the neighbor's dog and went for a mile walk, and then I worked in the yard. I've hauled away a dozen wheelbarrows full of leaves, and I have at least that many to go. I'm taking a break. Someone remind me again why I wanted a big yard with lots of trees? And I just raked the part of the back yard closest to my house. Whew! Tonight I'm going to take a shower, find something easy to make for supper, and chat online with the guy I just met. Should be fun!
Finally over the flu, so my husband and I ran a few errands (what is a week-end without a trip to Lowe's?), went to lunch, and ordered my belated birthday present. Tonight will be pizza and a DVD on the couch. I couldn't be happier.
It started off as a nice day, but then turned windy and snowy (yuck!). Spent several hours walking around at the zoo with my daughter and her boyfriend. We were excited to find that it wasn't nearly as busy as we thought it would be and it was easy to see the pands and the new polar bear cub! In about 45 minutes, we're heading out to a Chinese food buffet restaurant to eat far too much.
I'll be spending the afternoon and evening with my best friend at the mall and eating food. We'll probably end the evening with a HGTV marathon back at my place. Should be a perfect, relaxing Saturday!
Sounds good guys, especially the pizza, DVD, & mall. I had to go out today too. The weather was too nice not to! I... worked at home browsed the bookstore walked the mall a bit brought food back home: Turkey tacos Now, for a nice rest of the day relaxing at home!
Gorgeous day here today--windows are open for the first time since the fall. Started the day with grocery shopping and a 5-mile wog. Now I need to head down to the basement to sort through some boxes. I have a stack of marking that I'll start to tackle when watching the baseball game tonight.
It's also beautiful here! But I am stuck inside today... I had to play for a funeral at church this morning, and now I am trying to clean and organize my classroom a bit. We've been going an extra hour a day to make up snow days, and that's definitely meant some of that stuff has slipped to the side. I want to get semi-caught up before we return to regular days on Wednesday. After that, I need to write my thank yous for my bridal shower gifts and clean my house (dishes, laundry, etc.). I'll probably listen to the baseball game while doing all that.
Beautiful here, too. I got up at 8:00, dropped my neighbor off at jail for his weekend, the walked four miles at the track. Now I'm sitting on the porch with the iPad. I'm waiting for my friend to get here so we can head to the Building 429 concert.
Did an hour and a half of spring yard clean up...removing fallen branches from the winter, raking out the beds...felt good. This afternoon Dh and I are going over to the town where his new office is located. We'll walk around and are planning on an early dinner at a wine bar.
I woke up at 8:00 and went to the gym. Came back home for a little bit before running a few errands and picking up some plastic Easter eggs for my class. When I came back I took a two hour nap. I'm headed to the movies in an hour or so.
My sister-in-law wanted to go to the Vera Bradley sale in IN. It's about a three hour drive. I don't really care for VB stuff, but we had fun except for a few incidents of near trampling. Get this - they have a $3,500. limit on how much you can buy!! I think I spent about $70. and got four bags.
Well, we ended up at the dollar movie and saw Ride Along. When did the dollar movie actually turn into $2.00?!
The BF's painting his mother's place. I'll be leaving for the gym soon. I normally make my holiday cards on my computer, but I may buy Easter cards this time. We'll probably go to Hobby Lobby & Michaels. We just might go to the movies. Doing some work at home. I have leftover pizza!
I walked five miles this morning, and now I'm going to clean up my truck. It's a mess from this winter. I also need to clean house and do laundry and grade papers, although I might wait and do the papers tomorrow afternoon.
Got a chiropractic adjustment this morning, then ran some errands. Planted a few pots on my porch with spring flowers. Boiled eggs for coloring. Hosting Easter brunch here tomorrow so have a little cooking and cleaning to dothe cable guy is here. He and dh are all over the house trying to figure out what caused our house phone and internet to cut off last night. Right now I'm just staying out of the way.
