I recommend the movie Last Vegas to everyone. It's funny, but not silly/stupid. Also tried a new Italian place in my area: Brio Tuscan Grille. It was wonderful!
Yesterday I proctored the SATs until about 12:30. Then it was 5 loads of laundry, some online Christmas shopping, and a little time here. Then a friend stopped by to see the new kitchen. We chatted for a while, she left, and I went to bed. I'm glad I turned in early-- when my daughter woke up at 1:30 am violently thowing up, it kept me up for a while. Not sure what's wrong-- she wasn't feversish but had the chills. So mass is off the table for her today, we'll see what else happens today.
Hope she feels better, Alice! Fiance is in town this weekend, so we re-did our engagement pictures in the morning. The weather was beautiful, and the fall colors just exploded overnight. I can't wait to see them! Then we spent a lazy afternoon watching football. He cooked me an amazing birthday dinner, and then we visited with some friends for cards, a fire, and dessert. It was a great day! Today, it's back to school stuff, chores, and some wedding planning things.
Thanks, guys. She said she had mac and cheese for dinner at a friend's house, so that shouldn't have done it. Of course, I have no way of knowing how much Halloween candy she scarfed down during the day. Not that it would explain the chills.
I had to take a grad final exam, but then my BF & I went to the mall, shopped a little & saw the live performance, A Christmas Carol. (I had never seen it before...I've always seen the Nutcracker ballet for past holidays.)
Yesterday I finished up some holiday decor, watched the Army Navy game with dh and sons (Navy won for twelfth year in a row!) a and then went to Ameican Legion Christmas party with dh.
I got off to an early start. Out of the house at 7:15am... - swung by the bank ATM - went to gym - grocery shopped at Sprouts - went to Ralph's - browsed this other farmer's market in the area for 1st time - browsed Home Goods...wanted this $60 colorful ceramic plant pot so badly, but I restrained myself! - headed home where I'll... - watch TV & get on the computer on & off - do homework - finish reading for this other work thing - some laundry
I'm snowed in again today, so I'm cleaning out my closet. I'm sending a bunch of stuff to Goodwill as soon as it thaws out.
It's snowing. Again. I'm doing lesson plans and cleaning house. 53 days 21 hours 40 minutes and 51 seconds until spring. But who's counting?
Started the day with 5k on the treadmill, then got a second workout clearing the snowdrifts off the driveway. Taking it easy now, feeling all of my muscles starting to stiffen up--should be interesting tomorrow.
Just got back from lunch with a friend. I've done some snow shovelling, chatted with my nephew on FaceTime and now I'm tackling a presentation I'm giving at an inservice later this week.
Watching it snow & blow!!! LOL!!! Baked a carrot cake...used less sugar, applesauce/carrot baby food to replace almost all the oil & one less egg!! Just have to make frosting for it!!!
Began the day with marking math assessments so I would have for report cards. Cleaned most of the house then hit the kitchen to cook. Made a Thai chicken coconut soup, bread, chicken salad, a new chocolate cake, and cookies that I am entering into a contest tomorrow. The prize is a large basket of Pampered Chef items. My son says the cookies are great. I hope others do, too.
Last Saturday I was snowed in and sitting on my couch watching the snow fall. This Saturday it's in the 50's and sunny, so I'm going to hand wash my nasty, salty mess of a truck. Later tonight I'm going out with the girls to see a band that we all like. And I'm looking forward to practicing my flirting skills on their singer.
Writing report cards and watching the snow fall; will have to have a date with my shovel later. Have fun, Ima!!!!!
Headed out soon to get snacks for Super Bowl. We're making Swedish meatballs, crescent cheese and bacon pinwheels, veg and dip, brownies....picking up some cute helmet and football cookie cutters for sugar cookies. Cute cute cute.
Waiting for my housekeeper to come over. She´s been on vacation for two week and my house is hurting becase of it. I also have a few errands to run to be ready for the super bowl part tomorrow.
Watching it snow...AGAIN...watching neighbor plow & a big front loader move snow because it's closing our road!!!! I think the piles may make a huge pool...hmmm!!!
Finally came to some money we all got 3 % raise, and some other things added, and got a small child support check (after not getting any for a couple of years), so I can finally go and buy a laptop. I have been using the school's since last May, when my house was broken into and they took everything. I can also buy a new vacuum cleaner, so I'll be cleaning like a mad woman. Then I go out tonight to see my friends, so this weekend will be very nice.
Since I was at school til late (i.e. past 7 or 8pm) much of the week, dishes and laundry and finishing the rough draft of the state's math competition tests (which I should've had done last month...but have just been too busy with school stuff since it's my first full-time teaching!)...those are the three things I'm pretty much doing today. Hopefully I'll have some time to get to grading/planning for next week, otherwise that'll happen tomorrow before/after/during the Superbowl.
Staying at home mostly. Working at home. Relaxing. I may just go out to get dinner a little later. Tomorrow, it's probably to my parents to watch my dad. So sorry scmom!

Still need to do more laundry, find something for supper, and paint my nails.
I have a lot to do today: -3d ultrasound.
