I'm staying in today. I have been feeling really fatigued and under the weather lately and just prefer to be where I can go lay down for a nap whenever I feel like it. Hoosband is out picking up lunch, so that will be the high point of my day.
Ran early this morning before it got too hot Chiropractor adjustment Nail appointment Errands with dh...got some local Jersey corn and cherries from farm Laundry after a two day trip to the shore Making a crunchy slaw salad for dinner with roasted walnuts and pepitas...cherries jubilee over vanilla bean ice cream for dessert.
Groceries and farmer's market Quick run to WalMart for a few things DVD workout and a 5 mile "wog" Cleaned out the old broken dresser from the spare room; moved it out to the garage; put together a new shelving unit from IKEA and have that in place.
Spent all day on the couch, hiding from the incessant rain that has plagued us for weeks. It did wait until 11am today, though. Next: sushi!
Just got back from a delicious lunch. We just discovered a seafood restaurant right down the street. It was sooo good. I also might go to the mall and do some clothes shopping. We´ll see.
Clean sheets and clean dishes! Talked to the bf until he went to work played with the dog printed some back to school activities ate some of the soup I made yesterday
I'm in my classroom. I return on the 29th. I have to get 35 desks in my room this year. Feel like I'm playing giant Tetris trying to get things to fit. Ugh.
Back from: picking up something at a colleague's house mailing a letter going to the bank...made it before it closed! picking up Chinese food It was raining here too. This is the 2nd time I washed my car & it rained shortly after. And no, I had no idea the rain was coming.
That power outage I was supposed to have 2 weekends ago never took place. Soooo, it's tonight through tomorrow evening! Today: Walking or gym this morning Take at least one more litle online class & quiz Mk sure my cell phone & iPad are charged for the outage Few other things Tomorrow (Sun): Walking or gym Browse Target &/or Staples May have to spend time at Starbucks or B&N with my iPad
Well, it is pouring here today, but I hope to have fun at a baby shower. Only bad part, we don't get to hold a baby because she is not due until September!
Just went to the feria (Latin American farmer's market) to stock up on veggies and fruit for the week. Bought a delicious pastry from the German's who have a stand there. That's exciting because in general, pastries in CR are TERRIBLE! Later will be making some apple sauce. And possibly watching Project Runway. (I'm attempting to wait until Tuesday to watch it on the much nicer Hulu, but I might lose this battle and have to watch it on the much inferior Lifetime.com) Esposo is working today
Just finished running with dh On deck: Yard work...it's a bit of a jungle right now Errands...dry cleaners, library Want to go to Lowes for floating shelves and install in bathroom
Today my daughter and I went to Disney World for the morning and now we're home where she is working on job applications and I am spending way to much time on this forum!
I just finished pulling weeds in the driveway. It's a cooler day, but sunny so hopefully I'll spend some time reading on the deck. I have a load of laundry in the wash and need to go grocery shopping.
63 degrees and showers here. Our heat actually kicked in last night! My daughter and I ran errands this morning, and we plan to bake cookies this afternoon.
Finished work at 2 then went to the natural foods store to get my pink Himalayan sea salt. Also got a fresh made lemon square. It smelled so good I couldn't wait to get home to eat it! Now I think I'm going to read a bit.
We flew back from Hawaii so we lost a bunch of time. We left Friday night and arrived at noon today so we are trying to reset our brains and bodies after a mini time warp. I am catching up on DVR-recorded TV and browsing the posts on here. I plan to upload my photos from the trip as the big excitement for tonight
Spent nite at our n place on Suwannee River with my 9 year old and 82 year old dad. Got up at 5am and went out into the gulf to fish. Ended up with 8 nice sized trout and two big blue fish. Brother lost a large cobia. Took dad home and he broiled the blue fish and I made cole slaw baked beans. Long day but no rain. Rained here almost each day the last few weeks.
I was very near there this past week. My school sent me and some other new teachers to Orlando for PLC training at the convention center. I spent today playing with my nephew and dinner with the family before I head back to finish packing my apartment before moving this coming weekend.
Today I donated plasma after I woke up. Relaxed with reading and netflix after that. Then I worked at my retail job from 5-9. Now back to netflix and playing on the Internet. Not a bad Saturday.
Today was my birthday(24). Was nice. Probably the last family get together for me for at least a month(moving next week!).
Yesterday was seafood fest and horse racing at a track near the beach. Today was wine festival at nearby farm. Fun weekend!
Spending the weekend in Boston with my son and daughter-in-law. A to die for lobster roll for lunch and mussels right off the boat for dinner. No touristy things, just relaxing and good family fun.
Yesterday was trying on wedding dresses with my mom and cousins here (YAY!) and then relaxing all evening with my fiance to recover from that exhausting experience and the first week of school. This morning was church, and then everybody left. I've spent my afternoon doing laundry, playing around on the computer, talking on the phone, and anything else I can think of to distract me from the fact that my fiance won't be able to visit again for 18 days. Now I need to work on lesson plans...
The BF is going to a family reunion. I'll be out a bit this morning, then it's home to read my grad texts & notes all day.
I'm trying my darndest to recover from a nasty head cold and sinus/throat infection. Drinking lots of hot tea with honey and watching good (bad) TV. Right now: Airplane Repo. Later tonight the plan is to go out to dinner at Yardhouse and see Sixteen Candles in the theatre for free! I hope I feel up to it. That's my favorite movie.
Pouring rain today. Need to do some intensive planning (I've been keeping things a little "rough" until I knew how our school reorganization would play out).
We're going to Disneyland!! It's about an hour away and we have passes. They've changed over to Halloween decorations since the last time we went, and I can't wait to ride Ghost Galaxy (Space Mountain's Halloween upgrade!)
I'm meeting up with 6-8 friends for my birthday--number 43. We are going for Japanese food. Should be fun. I've never had Japanese food, but I think I will like it. I also started new medicine today . . . for menopause symptoms.
Sounds nice guys! Ima, wow you've never in your life had Japanese food? It's great! Feel better. Love Yard House's turkey burgers! I like Disneyland. I like the Haunted Mansion, but I don't like how they decorate it when Halloween times comes. To me, it's less scary & more cheesy-looking. I've got passes for Magic Mtn & Universal Studios.
I live in a rural area. We are driving 25 miles to the next town for Japanese food. That restaurant has opened within the past couple of years. Would have been a 50 mile drive two counties away before that.
A little online Christmas shopping. Lots of laundry. This afternoon is the Parent's Association cocktail party at school. I can only stay for about 1 1/2 hours though; Peter is being instated as an officer for the Knights of Columbus, and that means 7 pm mass. I got ill during mass. Got through the mass and the ceremony, but I just flew home, and got to the bathroom in the nick of time. I feel bad not being there for Peter, but I need to be home. Alone.
